My favorite neighborhood spot. They make the best matcha lattes and I love their breakfast options (sausage biscuit, breakfast burritos, pastries). Their food always tastes amazing and they use quality ingredients - they have great lunch options too for a quick bite if you’re around :) also a great place to pickup some specialty items on your grocery list or get a unique gift for someone (or yourself) - Love this place, all the employees are wonderful people and the owner is just magnificent too. I consider them my neighbors and I’m really happy to see them. They are always very kind even when I roll in to the spot looking busted as if I just got out of bed. Can’t recommend it more if you’re around and looking for something to keep you cool on these hot summer days. Or warm during the winter....

Willoughby General is an absolute gem in the neighborhood, thanks to Lauren and her amazing staff, who radiate genuine warmth and hospitality. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed like an old friend, and the cozy atmosphere instantly makes you feel at home. Their coffee is always on point, paired perfectly with their delicious cookies and other treats.

The shop is also a treasure trove of unique finds, offering everything from charming dog toys to soothing incense and beautifully crafted candles—perfect for thoughtful gift-giving or treating yourself. But the real star of the show is their breakfast burrito: a heavenly creation that will leave you coming back for more. Willoughby General isn't just a shop—it's a community hub, and every visit is a delight....

I have been visiting Willoughby General since it opened. I have had a five star experience each and every visit. I stop in for coffee for myself, sandwiches for my family, everyday items for our household, and best of all - gifts for friends. Recently, our neighborhood has had trouble with a rogue developer (google “441 Willoughby Ave demolition”). Willoughby General stood up to them and continues to stand up to them on behalf of our caring Historically Black Community. In retaliation, they are now posting negative comments and one star reviews about this charming and social justice oriented neighborhood store. Shame on them.
