This is a very unassuming little bistro in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood, you could miss it in a blink! That would be very unfortunate bc it’s a gem worth going out of your way to visit. We came out from Manhattan to try it and it was well worth the trip. Every element of our experience was perfection. The service was impeccable, the host was charming and attentive. He gave us plenty of recommendations and our glasses were never empty. The decor makes you feel like you are in a special little gallery but in a locale a little more exotic. There is seating indoors and outdoors and they can seat larger parties. We loved that they have some really big tables with comfy bench seating. They have a great wine list and some fun cocktails too - I recommend the Porto Tonico. Last and most importantly the food was OUTSTANDING! Every bite was delicious and fresh and cooked to perfection. We had a vegetarian with us and everyone was thrilled with their meals. We tried so many things - the veggie empanadas- crispy and filled with yummy spinach and mushrooms in a delicious sauce. A yummy salad that was the special with arugula, fresh burrata, candied apples and hazelnuts - every bite was delicious. Perfect classic French onion soup and the gambas al ajillo - delectable with a slight heat and lots of bread for dipping. Our last appetizer was the truffle fries - just trust me and order them - the best we’ve ever had. For dinner we had the skirt steak - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The pappardelle pasta that was delicious and perfectly al dente. Last but not we had the fish of day which was a branzino. This was the best I’ve ever had, the fillet was generously sized and tender while the skin was perfectly seasoned and crispy. All of the sides were delicious but the broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes were stand-outs. Last but not least we had two perfect desserts a beautiful blueberry pannacotta and crème brûlée they were both amazing and even though we were already full we cleaned our dessert plates too! We can’t wait to go back...
Read moreThis is probably going to be one of the biggest reasons i return to NYC, all the way from Norway.
I usually don't write reviews, but this place is such a hidden gem. I have so much I want to say I don't know where to start.
The food was amazing. The steaks, the curry bowl, the specials everything was delicious, but the burger might top the list. It was undoubtedly the best burger I have ever had, might even be the best in New York. Not only is it cooked to perfection and topped with delicious carmelized onions, it comes with homemade french fries that had me speechless when i tried them.
The staff immediately makes you feel welcome and at home. It is easy to notice that they do not do it for the money, but because they geniunely like what they do and want people to enjoy their time spent there.
The waiter deserves a special shout out for being an amazing person. He is very easy to have an actual conversation with and he knows everything there is to know about wine, which makes his recommendations amazing. It is easy to notice that he actually cares for his guests and want the best for them. He notices every little detail, like when you want some more to drink but don't want to be a bother.
It is definetly worth visiting. I would recommend going out of your way to spend an evening here.
If I ever come back to NYC this will be on top of my to do list. I even had to follow them on Instagram.
Can't wait to be back :)

Read moreWhat a treat to find this spot! I've been in the neighborhood for 12 years and we've always lacked spots to grab food and actually sit down. Korkscrew is a welcome solution to that problem.
While going thru the reviews, I was appalled to see one left by a supposed food influencer from TikTok. We had the exact same server, and couldn't have had a more opposite experience. Claims about hurriedly being asked to close the front door are true in the sense that we were THRILLED to simply make sure a door was closed behind us upon entering a space that is not our own home. Yes, guest experience is important but it's also important to see the other side of that: you are a GUEST in a space. It's important to be aware of the energy you bring to the table, and maybe look inward.
Our server was kind, direct, and speedy, and we were treated with politeness and respect!
All that aside, the food here is excellent. A gorgeous skylight in back provides a lot of natural ambient light. We got the eggs benedict, with canadian bacon and my partner got the steak sandwich, both of which were portioned well for the price and tasted delicious. Not to mention, the best bloody mary I've had in a long time.
Loved coming here, and will definitely be back. It really felt like a neighborhood spot with a few other tables talking and having fun in the large dining area.
Thank...
