We ordered desert from World of Chantlilly for our wedding. Due to COVID we decided to do their individual boxed desserts to ensure there was no open food and ordered the mini wedding cake for my wife and I. All I can say is we were extremely disappointed with what was received. First off the manager of this establishment claimed to not know what an invoice was (although he promised to send one over to us several times) , we don't understand how you can run a business with no record keeping. Our order the day of was an hour and a half late! The only reason it even got to our event was because 30 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered our event coordinator actually called the bakery to see where they were, only to find out that the dessert never even left the bakery. Our desserts were finally delivered an hour and a half late. Our guests couldn't even sit and eat their dessert's, those that were still at the venue just took it as they left. We ordered very specific cookies and cake pops in the boxes only to find out that nothing we specified to be in them was actually there. Our wedding cake was specifically supposed to be chocolate on the inside and they gave us vanilla. Overall if I could I would give this establishment a 0-star review. They got the whole order wrong, they were so late not all of our guests even got dessert and if not for our venue they wouldn't have even delivered our order. The manager was rude to my wife and our event coordinator and needs to learn how to handle a business. I messaged them on that day asking what time they would come , they just asked me for my address. I was waiting all day for it to be delivered and it never was. Closer to the end of the day I asked them if they’ll deliver on a day of holiday they said yes. It was 3-4 pm I called them and asked what time they will come they said driver is out for delivery. I waited all day no one came to drop of my order I messaged them multiple times Called Danny who never picked up his phone No answer , no explanation It was 30 min before the holiday still hoping driver will drop off these cheese cakes. My family is extremely disappointed. If You had an emergency before the delivery, you should’ve informed us. The lack of communication is unacceptable. You can’t do this to people an hour before the holiday. We didn’t order from other places because we wanted it from you. This is my last time buying and ordering anything from them. When I called them to ask for a refund Danny picked up the phone and his explanation was: “We had a lot of orders in queens , probably driver forgot or gave extra cakes to someone else.” Seriously?    Read moreUpdate at bottom of this review* Called world of Chantilly to make sure they can deliver on time. They said "yes just order online and select your date and it will be delivered on time." So we ordered and paid for various desserts and customized name cookies in advance and nothing was delivered on the date that we selected online. I called them on the delivery date and they assured me my order was on the way. We waited all day and it never arrived. Huge disappointment! Such a shame that world of Chantilly is not reliable because we didn't have dessert at a big milestone party for a family member. I hope to find other bakery options in the future because world of Chantilly provided very bad service. p.s. i also emailed them via the contact us link on their site and never heard back. I called for a refund and was transferred and then told the order will be cancelled and refunded. They asked if I still want the name cookies but offered no apology or future credit or anything. Evidently they do not care about customers.
