I've ordered from Banzai on several occasions because I believe the food is decent--it's been hard to find a ton of places I enjoy eating from since moving to NJ. My experience yesterday, however, left a poor taste in my mouth and I couldn't find it in me to enjoy my order.
I usually order ubereats pickup. When I got there there was an employee I'd never seen before. I showed him my order page from uber. He stared at it for forever before I asked him if there was a problem. He said he didn't see a name. I said sir it's right on top the page--it's the first thing that comes up. After getting my food I usually check it when I get back to my car. I had ordered 2 spicy mayos and they were missing. When I went back in to inform them. The man looked at me like "I put it in the bag." The woman who is typically by the register is like "yeah I saw you put it in the bag." They're looking at me and I'm looking at them. I'm like "I'm happy to bring back my bag because there was no spicy mayo in there." The lady then fixes her mouth to say "just give it to her, maybe it fell out." My biggest issue with this situation is that I'm a regular customer here. I've never complained about an order. That lady has seen me on multiple occasions. I have no reason to lie about 2 packets of mayo.
I even second guessed myself so much, I went back looking through the bag and under my car seat. Guess what no mayo was found. The least they could have done in this situation was apologize and turn over my missing items. I will not be ordering from here again because clearly they don't value their customers...or from reading the reviews certain types...
Read moreI can't really rate the food because I just walked out. I'm not from the area, so I was looking for somewhere to eat after my dentist appointment.. but first , I walked in and asked to use the bathroom.. a Caucasian lady looked at me and just pointed, so i attempted to start a conversation by saying "Okay I wasn't sure if I needed to buy something first because.." However, I got rudely cut off. And told "JUST GO" As she rolled her eyes at me and pointed again.
Like I stated before, I'm not from the area and initially was really looking forward to finding a good sushi spot to go to but needed to use the ladies' room first. However, if having a simple conversation with a possible customer is too much for you or if MAYBE you assumed I didn't have money to spend, so you treated me unkind, I'd rather find somewhere else to take my business.. maybe if customer service makes you that angry or annoyed, maybe find another profession?? I'm not homeless or without money. However, even if I were, I still shouldn't be met with attitude for starting a conversation .. I wish 0 star...
Read moreThis is my first proper sushi place, and it was good. Like many of my Indian friends, I was skeptical about putting raw fish in my mouth. Coming out of this place, I had two revelations: Sushi comes with baked fish too and Sushi is edible, and it tastes good.
The waitress was particularly great, I don't get all the bashing against the restaurant's service in other reviews. When we mentioned that we are first timers, she patiently answered our questions and was kind enough to suggest almost the entire dinner for us.
Ordered Ironbound fried sushi, American dream sushi, Chicken Yakisoba, Chicken Udon, Teriyaki chicken and fried banana desert. Ironbound was deep fried and what the waitress considered spicy, and it was phenomenal. And the other dish that stood out was Chicken Udon.
Do try this place, I will come...
