Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Newark

We live in Hayward, less than 5 minutes away from a Chuck E Cheese's. The one in Hayward is a disgusting mess and I knew we would never return there again. Decided to make the drive to this Chuck E Cheese's since my daughter wanted to go and there was no way we were going to the one in Hayward. SO HAPPY WE MADE THE DRIVE.

It's just a random Tuesday for most people, but our daughters (3rd) birthday for us. We decided to spoil her a little since she wanted to come here for dinner. Considering how terrible the experience was at the Hayward location, this one is EASILY 5*. This location was not busy at all, maybe 4-5 other families on this random Tuesday night. It was nice looking and clean. Maybe 2 games were out of order, at least that I noticed (compared to what felt like half being broken at Hayward.) The staff was crazy friendly. I actually feel bad for not speaking to a manager to express our gratitude for the friendliness of the staff. Easily THE BEST Chuck E Cheese's experience we have ever had. The pizza and cheesy bread came out quickly and was delicious (as delicious as their pizza can get lol). I'm trying to find a complaint and maybe it's that the cinnamon dessert pizza was slightly overcooked?

Stay Away from this place. Totally mismanaged and irresponsible behavior. We had my daughter’s birthday party last week at this location. We booked the Mega fun package but these guys gave us service as per the basic package (Super fun) due to an issue in their system. They accepted charges for Mega fun and there was no issue while accepting or booking it, but while giving service it was a system issue. I understand there can be system issues, but if you have something wrong in the system, at least accept it. As per our package kids were supposed to get 2 hours of unlimited play, but most of their cards stopped working within half an hour. While talking to a person (don't know the name) regarding the concerns, he was speaking so rudely in front of my guests, I felt very humiliated. After talking with him with a louder voice and showing an email with package details he agreed to give 45 minutes of playtime to the kids, but with all these drama kids were exhausted and lost interest. 2nd thing which they missed as per our package was dipping dot ice cream, they didn't serve us ice cream. Sorry but this Chuck E. Cheese without Chuck E. Cheese low key ruined my family’s trip. The three (3) locations near me only have one (1) animatronic on a small stage which I understand is the most modern arrangement of animatronics in most locations. Rarely you can find a pizzeria with the full band. The second picture on google of this location was the full band seemingly dressed for Halloween. Me, 18 and my brother, 12 have been looking for the full band ad we never got to experience Chuck E. play with his band, seeing all of those animatronics would have been really cool for audio animatronic fans like us. We drove out with family for a small trip and decided to check off the list of things we wanted to do and go here. When we came here there were no animatronics. None. Zero (0). Not even the rodent himself stood in this place. Very very disappointing.
