We wound up coming to this buffet because our first choice had a 45 minute wait time. We came in on a Sunday, after the dinner rush, at about 8pm. I had high hopes for this place, given the size and the decor, and I was quickly disappointed. The seafood options were under seasoned; the crab legs were the only seafood option I can say that I earnestly enjoyed. The salad bar was fairly robust, and was fresh enough to make a good salad.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the meat options. The Teriyaki chicken was hard as a rock, and it's impossible for me to say how it tasted because I simply couldn't bite through it. The honey chicken, and the beef options were very lightly seasoned, and quite tough, though nowhere near the hardness of the teriyaki chicken. They do have a Mongolian option; it's about what you would expect from a grill off to the side in a Chinese buffet: competently executed, but nothing special.
To their credit, the buns, potstickers, and soups were fairly good, though the potstickers were burned on the bottom. I'll acknowledge we did come fairly late in the day, which may have affected quality. The service was actually quite good, our drinks were constantly checked and plates cleared in a timely matter. I just wish the owners had spent a little less on decorations and a little more on the...

Read moreJust another average Asian Buffet.
The food selection is limited with only two full rows (total of four smaller rows, two on each side) of food and one row of dessert/fruits/salad. There is also an area to the side for Mongolian BBQ and some sushi, both of which I don't usually even look at.
I guess the highlight of this place would be the crab and the fish. Don't get me wrong, neither tastes amazing, but they're the priciest and the most decent tasting. I love tilapia and salmon, so that's what I usually go for. My parents like to stack up crab on their plates. Some other options include fried rice, chow mein, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, egg rolls, fried shrimp, dim sum, and a small variety of soup choices. Side note: I really would NOT recommend the shu mai, they're always so dry and tasteless..
Service depends on who your waiter is. Usually it's just okay, but today the waiter and waitress we had were attentive and polite. Also because the restaurant was a little empty, they were quick in clearing our tables so we have room for more food.
World Gourmet Buffet can be a little pricey, but usually you can find a coupon online or in the newspaper and save a...
