Just get the cold brew & butter croissant. I don't think you'll regret it! (Also, the chai latte is really good!)
Consistently, you are welcomed by a warm and friendly voice (or two!) and I think that's why it's a place that I keep going back to. I don't think there's a place like that around here. (I love their hanging lights, omg so art deco!) I'm a big fan of the cold brew (with a splash of cream) but also the service is just nice. They care very much about their customers. I'm also seeing regular faces, so I know people have made the place "a go to", as the area is changing and redeveloping.
What's neat too, is that they have a market on the other side. It's been fun to try some new things (Greek items!) and been able to grab things like spices or even eggs/fresh mozarella/trail mix/chocolates. I can't wait to see what else they add and change as time goes on. In the past, they have encouraged me to let them know what I'd like to see in the market. I thought that was pretty sweet.
I moved in the area before they opened and it's honestly been so nice to have good quality coffee nearby đ I am taking the time to write this down because I really want it...
Read moreAre you kidding? Do you mean I don't have to visit Manhattan cafes any longer. Well no but the vibes here checks my boxes minus the crowded outside vibe. The ambience is very good, the music is usually an slight upbeat cafe vibe hence the feel of Black Coffee the dj. Oh yeah the coffee! well my favorite is the dirty latte with almond milk. They have other coffee choices but I limit myself to a usual non meat with cheese lettuce and sliced tomatoes, yummy, healthy portioned and I'm great. The workers are very pleasant, they understand good customer service and presentation. KANELA is very clean, and it's worth noting that the seating is not overly uniformed which is important because your brief stay is accommodated with plush seating or the typical harder cafe chairs. Yes it accommodates that option when you need to do some laptop work... Simply a really nice...
Read moreWe stopped by this café for a Saturday morning breakfast. The exterior was charming, which drew us in. Parking is street-only, so it can be tricky on busier days, but we lucked out.
I ordered a cortadoâdecent, nothing remarkable. I went with the avocado toast, which theyâre apparently known for. It was as minimalist as it gets: a slice of ciabatta, olive oil, a generous amount of fresh avocado, salt, and pepper. No frills, but solid and satisfying. My friend had a multigrain croissant with sausage and eggâbasic and hearty.
The cafĂ© is mostly self-service, and while the vibe was relaxed, the service was quite slow. We even cleared our own table from the previous guests. It seemed a bit understaffed, but the food was fresh and filling. A cute local spot, though donât expect...
