i came in today ordered the brick bird and 3 chicken patty. the patty was okay need more filling. itās more bread than filling. The cashier asked me would i like lettuce or cabbage on my brick bird sandwich. i said cabbage please. then i was asked if i wanted my sandwich sweet, mild or hot. i said i wanted the spiciest sauce you have. when i received my sandwich coco bread extremely soggy, i only live across the st so itās crazy that it was soggy upon receiving. there was lettuce on the sandwich when i clearly asked for cabbage. AND NOT ONLY THAT THE SANDWICH TASTE SO SO SWEET WHEN I CLEARLY ASKED FOR SPICY NOT A SENSE OF PEPPER TO BE FOUND. no little kick or anything taste like i brought sweet teriyaki or something. i was expecting scotch bonnet, i got no sense of heat from the sandwich. iām from the island so i know what authentic jerk chicken and i like my pepper is like. AND THIS WASNT IT!! If there was an option for 0 stars, i would put that. maybe you can fool these americans but someone whoās from the island and you call that sauce hot ?! and messed up my ordered completely? i wouldnāt recommend. itās false advertisement to display a restaurant as itās authentic jamaican and itās not. iām very upset this was my first time coming into this place and i...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by to grab a little lunch. Saw the sign on the glass and thought, Jersey Jerk yum!! Wrong it didnāt dawn on me there was no smoke outside. The inside smells like mint patchouli (candle burning), not food. That should have been a clear warning. I had rice and peas with Stew chicken. It was a spoon of rice spread out to cover a small styrofoam container. Then they had the audacity to chop up chicken in the stew chicken like jerk chicken bits. I had a lot of oil not gravy a lot of bone no meat for $10 criminal. Then I ordered some jerk chicken, they were mad for this one, he placed the order and said one order Big Jerk. āLIE THEM A TELLā in a medium foil pan they put I large piece of parchment paper, I slice of hardough bread cut into two pieces and one burnt up leg quarter cut into four pieces with red pepper sauce and some sweet chili nonsense for $9. Save your time and money. I should have taken the extra time and gone to RāSZN Jerk center itās a little wait but youāre going to get what you paid for and authentic Jerk flavors and excellent portions at an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI canāt help but share my love for this restaurant! In my opinion, it serves the best food in the neighborhood. Having recently relocated to Jersey, I've missed the restaurants back in Queens, but this place has become a wonderful substitute.
My family and I have enjoyed everything from the curry goat and curry chicken to the Rasta Pasta and my personal favorite, the jerk chicken. And let me tell you, the rice and peas is exactly how itās supposed to taste! Weāve ordered from here twice, and every time, the flavors have been spot on.
Moreover, the pricing is excellent considering the quality and portion sizes. For anyone who disagrees, they clearly donāt get out much. A huge compliment to the chef and to the friendly woman who takes your calls. Thank you for creating such a wonderful establishment that truly benefits our community. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this place a try. You wonāt be disappointed. A catering menu would be a...
