I was soooo detailed in my review of this place prior but lost it when my phone died and had to start over .. now i refuse to be detailed.. lol however first time here .. when i arrived customer service was crappy ! Young female at register looked at me without even saying hello how are you how may I help you ? I set the tone I said hello ordered my food and complimented her on her henna tattoo.. on her hands .fast forward when food was done young lady opens container to get your approval on how food looks which is great! There after her closing was Thank you have a good day! Which was great! Just need to work on smiling facial expressions and welcoming and making people feel comfortable with the business. when people not approachable and give you a facial expression like your not welcome is really bad for the business. Because that alone I felt like walking out but I held my composureā¦she ended it on a good note at the end/saying thank you . Have a good day... however food looked amazing got to the car gave my grandmother whoās 87 her sandwich which before hand she didnāt want to buy $23 neither did I due to bad experiences we had with prior black owed businesses We ate from with over priced nasty food! But however we gave this place a try and OMG!!ā The sandwich was HUGE! Delicious! SAVORY!! MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!!!! ThE BEST PASTRAMI AND CORN BEEF SANDWICH WE EVER HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!!! Their SANDWICHES ARE SO BIG YOU CAN MAKE 3 sandwiches out of one!!!! And itās worth EVERY BIT OF $23!!! OH AND THE ENVIRONMENT IS SOOO CLEAN SO NICE!! PUT ME IN THE MIND OF BACK IN THE DAY WHEN FAMILIES USE TO SIT AT THE TABLE AND VIBE OFF ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT A CELL PHONE !! REALLY FEELS LIKE HOME THERE! šÆ just customer service need work! but other than that the...

Pros: The establishment is beautiful and the customer service (from the children) was home-felt. Ma Mamma Bean Pies taste the best, they are freshly made daily. I personally do not eat bean pies, but BABBBBYYYYY that was worth the $6 it cost.
But on the other hand:
Cons: Someone told me about Roc Deli Sandwiches so I wanted to try. I order the Pastrami Sandwich, and the "Corn Beef and Beef Pastrami Sandwich. The Pastrami on rye with mustard sandwich was extremely chewy, had low-quality meat, and had no flavor, and cost $18, they needed to invest in a new vendor who provided better quality meats for the price they're charging. The General "Corn Beef and Beef Pastrami" cost a whopping $23, the meat on this sandwich was also chewy and tasted like turkey pastrami deli meat instead of beef. In addition, the amount of Cole slaw was minimal and did not help the sandwich...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI gave a 4 because it's really nice and CLEAN inside. Beautiful establishment. My sandwich was roughly $20 which is expected for this type of sandwich. I ordered the Pastrami with Russian dressing, coleslaw on the side(in which I didn't receive) and pickle. The meat was piled high, bread was super soft and nicely dressed. This is a leaner cut of meat. So if your taste buds are like mine and you like the old Coopers deli, Bragmans, or Harold's, fattier thicker sliced meat, you probably won't like this. I was not a fan of it at all. I need that ridged texture. Plus this was a little salty. I will go back and try the other meat selections. I was craving a Pastrami sandwich and this didn't not meet MY taste buds. I hope my next sandwich is perfect for me. I love to support BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES.... I will...
