Snack Mania — Restaurant in Newark

I had a really disappointing experience at this Brazilian bakery. I decided to try some Brazilian snacks, but unfortunately, they were absolutely revolting. I ordered a traditional chicken croquette called "Coxinha," and it arrived in terrible condition – it was old and overflowing with dough, making it nearly inedible. The taste was truly awful. While the "pastel" I ordered was somewhat decent and quite filling, the dough lacked the essential seasoning that would have made it enjoyable.

To make matters worse, the lady who took my order was shockingly rude and seemed completely unaware of how to explain the menu offerings. It was a frustrating and confusing interaction.

I regretfully ended up spending over $50 on this disappointing experience. If you're in search of authentic Brazilian snacks, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. This bakery is definitely not the place to satisfy your cravings. Save your money and your taste buds – I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this...

So we had ordered a plain burger with bacon, NO CHEESE, no sauce what so over and no Tomatoes and onions. We get our order and it comes with melted cheese. We go back to the counter and spoke to the lady that took our order and she right away gives us an attitude arguing that we ordered with bacon and cheese 🙄 so she grabs the hamburger and takes it back to the kitchen and says we will make you a new one. Cool but within a couple minutes, she called us to give us our burger (mind you, they didn’t have enough time to do an other hamburger) she comes back with the same hamburger, just tried to scrape off the cheese from the hamburger, you can see cheese spotted all over the burger. The fact that they just lied to us and made us look stupid is so disrespectful. Never again wasting my hard earned money on people that don’t value there customers! I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Snack Mania. I ordered my food at 1:58 PM, and by 2:30 PM, I was still waiting with no update. The cashier never mentioned that the kitchen was busy, which would have been crucial information. When I asked about the delay, she claimed she had informed me, which was completely false.

As a four-months-pregnant customer, I was starving and would have gone to another restaurant if I’d been told about the wait. To make matters worse, the staff made a scene in front of other customers as if I was in the wrong for being upset about the delay.

The lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic customer service was shocking. Snack Mania needs serious improvement, and I won’t be returning.
