I was staying at a local hotel and was given their menu saying that they deliver.. I had no useable vehicle to pickup any food and they were only 2.5 miles away via google maps. I called to place an order and the girl on the other end was beyond rude to start with.. I ordered a cold sub right off the menu and it just said it came with cheese and she asked me if I wanted cheese and she states It came with provalone and i asked her for american and she said no.. while the menu has the standard American swiss provolone or mozzarella option.. then she told me it order would be ready for pickup in x amount of time and almost hung up on me.. I said.it was for delivery and she started to argue with me saying I said it was for pickup.. me letting it go told her the hotel I was at then she told me they dont deliver there.. its 2.5 miles away at a 3 star hotel by the airport????? Its not some drug infested sleazy hotel downtown.. if you dont deliver here then why does the hotel have your menu?? I'm very disappointed by the way I was treated.. I understand that if circumstances change with being able to deliver there for what ever reason (even if the delivery guy is sick and they fant deliver today) I get it but I could have been handled a little more professionally... I ordered food from somewhere else and they were more then happy to make an accommodation on a sandwich for me and asked for the address where I was at which I didn't have and that girl waited patiently for about 3-4 minutes till I could get it.. I tried to.order from Tony's because they have great reviews and I believe i ordered from them some 2-3 years ago and had a good experiance.. they also have some not so good reviews and I hope they get it together and the good reviews outweigh the bad... i understand mistakes happen but there is no excuse...
Read moreMy wife placed an order for delivery today about an hour ago .The order was an egg salad sandwich and 2 slices of buffalo chicken pizza. The food was delivered and I began to eat the sandwich however my wife did not eat immediately and placed the box of pizza in the oven because she had other responsibilities to tend to. About 20 minutes later we received a call from Tony’s pizza and was inquired about if we received the pizza. My wife informed the lady that yes she did receive the pizza and as the conversation went forward she began to state that there was a mistake and she was delivered the wrong food. My wife reassured her that yes she had the box pizza but she didn’t know what pizza was in the box ( mind you my wife ordered 2slices of buffalo chicken pizza and the delivery driver mistakenly gave my wife a box of pepperoni pizza.. my wife doesn’t eat pork so that definitely wasn’t for her ) but the woman over the phone was making implications of some type of petty deception, saying “well you know that you didn’t order that pizza and my driver did delivery it to you “ . But was deaf to the fact that my wife repeatedly told her that the pizza was in the oven and had not been touched and we can make the exchange. The lady over the phone was very disrespectful and did not take accountability for the mistakes her driver made and the accusations and implications that she made. She was very smug and I am trying to wonder what warranted that. It’s ok.. that business just lost a customer, and long standing customer, who has been buying pizza from them since the real owner (Pepe) had the parlor. I don’t/won’t recommend...
Read moreI recently downloaded GrubHub so I was trying local restaurants for something "new". For starters, they have numerous items on the menu. What caught my eye over everything were the fried oreos. Yes, FRIED OREOS - Oreos cooked inside some type of cake batter and covered in powdered sugar. These were some of the best tasting pastries I've had in my life. I ordered a Cheesesteak Calzone which was near perfect for me. The peppers inside were fresh, the bread was delicious, cheese - gooey, and overall fun to eat; was a bit drippy from the juices though. I also ordered a side of Bacon Cheddar fries which were pretty good too. My order was delivered by a very friendly driver that even asked where exactly to meet me (By my side gate or the building door). Tony's Pizzeria instantly became a favorite of mine and I highly recommend someone give them a shot if they're ever in the neighborhood. GOD those Oreos are good.
Update, October 30th, 2015: After waiting for an hour and a half for delivery. THERE WAS A BUG IN MY SALAD. I tried calling but they kept putting me on hold. The person that answered the phone didn't even seem to care after I told him the problem. Horrible way to handle a problem that can be...
