This is one of the best Chinese restaurants on the eastside! My family has been coming here since I was young - their food is great and so is their service. They have big portions and their restaurant is big too so it can accommodate big parties, perfect for those big family/friend gatherings.
This review is for Sunday lunch - my family and I (party of 4) arrived at 11:40am after church and did not have to wait to get seated. We ordered 3 dishes and still had a little leftover to bring home!
--Salmon fried rice - good flavor and a large portion! My family ALWAYS get this...this is not on the menu but we ask for it and they make it for us anyways! --Sauteed String Beans with Ground Pork - also great flavor and love how their string beans are done perfectly that they retain the signature crunch! --Beef with chinese broccoli - beef was done well, loved how it was tender and this dish was saucy. I honestly don't think it was on the menu either but you know its a legit Chinese restaurant when they take your requests to mix/match meats and veggies lol.
I've never been disappointed by Yea's Wok in the past decade+ that I have been coming here. They are busy during peak times so I would come a little earlier to beat the crowd. They also have a great lunch menu! They have those buzzer things if you are put on the waiting list. And they take off-menu requests which is a huge plus for my parents and family who are...

Food was 2/5 As a foodie you can't really BS me with quality. My main complaint is that it seemed like they used the cheapest meat possible. Fiance had general tso and they just used cheap chicken thigh (with skin) and just breaded the hell out of it, the texture was chewy and dry and the pieces too big. The flavor could use some fresh ginger/garlic instead of a cornstarch filled goop, but otherwise okay. I ordered Mongolian beef, came out looking delicious until I took a bite, spongy best describes what it felt like. Almost like they didn't use hot enough oil or too much cornstarch and it soaked up too much sauce.
Service 3/5 We came in at a good time so there was no wait. Your waiter/waitress won't be the same person serving you throughout your stay, having multiple people serve a table is just bad for business. Not really an issue for me but I'm sure other people might find this annoying, nobody comes to ask how your doing or how your food is. The only time the staff spoke to us is to order, fill drink (once and at the end) and our check; all by different people. Our food came out 10 minutes apart and nobody apologized for it!
Overall if you're looking for a quick bite (at a reasonable time, seating is limited), this place is a hard maybe. If the place across the street doesn't tickle your fancy factoria and Bellevue have...
Read moreI've never physically been to Yea's Wok, but my sister had brought home food for me many times. We came here for dinner at 5:30pm and there was plenty of seats, but filled up real fast. My sister usually comes with a friend, so she didn't know there was a second room around the corner that have tables for large parties.
We were seated immediately and provided tea - Jasmine is the only option they have. Also, they charge for tea. The bill showed $5 next to the Chinese words for "no rice" (we didn't order rice), so I thought they charged for not getting rice! - no, it was for the tea, which was on a different line. The tea was good and we had several refills of the carafe. $5 for 5 people is not bad.
The food came quickly and my elderly Chinese dad was able to pick out 2 dishes on the "Chinese only" menu that were not shown on the English menu - jellyfish and beef tendon. Both cold dishes and pretty tasty.
Overall, the food was quite tasty and you get a good portion. The service was EXCELLENT. I was clumsy and dropped a chopstick and one of the waitresses grabbed me a pair right away!
The total after tips came out to $172, so about $34/person. A bit hard on the wallet, but they do have a bunch of servers/attendants to assist with your needs right away (dropped chopsticks and tea refills!), and the food is pretty delicious. I would definitely recommend...
