My friends and I have been going to Chylaca's for a few years now as it has good food, and it was the closest Mexican restaurant near us. The service wasn't too bad either, until as of the past few months... About two months ago, we walked in to place a to go order. I don't know the name of the singer, but a piano player was playing, and the customers there were enjoying it as well as the employees. The employees, enjoying it a little too much as they stood around to listen to the piano player while me and some other guy in front of us waited for a good 15 minutes before we got any service, the guy in front of us having been there even longer.
The next poor display of service was the following time we came in, which was a few weeks after. Me and my two other friends walked in, and were seated at a table within a few minutes. However, after 20 minutes of no further service, and watching the employees sit on their asses we decided to leave and went on ahead to La Hacienda in Peachtree city where we go superb service.
The last time we went to Chylaca's, roughly two weeks ago, me and several other of my friends met up there to enjoy a good dinner. Again, within a few minutes of being seated. This time, we actually got drinks, and our orders were taken. After the food came we were again ignored. We had to stop the waiter and request refills, and even had to request our receipt. So basically, we had to ask the waiter to do his job.
We are not unpleasant customers. There is no reason to give this poor of service except for being lazy. Not in any of the times we went were they busy. Almost every time I go in there now I hear someone complain about the service and have discovered we are not the only ones experiencing the issues I've listed. I hope that someone higher up the food chain will see this comment and wake his or her employees up, or hire new ones. (Save for the one female server, the younger one. She's the only one worth a damn in that place now.) My friends and I love Chylaca's, but if the service continues this way, we will happily give our business and money to...

Read moreI ordered the ORIGINAL guacamole, that is supposed to come with all the mixins. You know, your NORMAL guacamole? Tomato, cilantro, onion? Well they gave me mashed avocado with NO MIX INS. Not even lime taste! I obviously told them I wanted it to have pico. The waitress brought me pico and told me to mix it in.. when my bill came back it was a 5$ charge for pico! Not to mention the menu and the receipt prices DID NOT MATCH. When I asked for a manager some random lady was brought over. (Not the manager) she told me if I didn’t get what was ordered to not eat it and send it back, I tried explaining several times that I tried and he just gave me pico but she kept telling me I ate it all and now I need to pay.. when I finally got a manager he didn’t even come to the table, he rolled his eyes and told them to take it off “just this once” she came back over and explained that they will do it one time to “ be nice” and started explaining the wrong thing again about how I need to send it back and not eat it. At the end she ended it with how “next time don’t eat the wrong order and try to get free food” I’m already fed up so I said “there probably won’t be a next time” she then replied “Amazing” this place had great food, but AWFUL customer service and atmosphere. We were...
