Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Newnan

I love this place because the make the best milkshakes!!!! However, the service was very terrible and when speaking to "management" it didn't seem like she was genuine in trying to resolve the problem. I ordered a milkshake. It wasn't very busy. Another customer ordered after me. The girl who took the orders completed the customer after me order and served them. I continued to wait patiently. Then I see her make a milkshake and then put in in the mobile/ delivery freezer pick up. I went up to her and asked her where my order was. She was unsure. I asked if the milkshake she put in the mobile/ delivery freezer was mine. She looked and said it was. I asked to speak to the "manager". A girl in a grey sweatshirt comes up to me and informs me that she is a "manager." She doesn't give me her name nor is she dressed in a uniform but I did witness her behind the counter the whole time I was there. I asked her if it was procedure to place carry out orders in the mobile/ delivery freezer. She said it wasn't. I asked her why did the girl who took my order walk right by me without speaking and place my order in that freezer. I told her that is extremely bad service and rude and that I didn't understand why she just didn't just give me my order once completed. I was standing there patiently the entire time with my nephew for at least fifteen minutes. She said she would speak to her but clearly she was disingenuous about doing this because the girl was standing right there and didn't address it. Clearly this staff and team is either incompetent or poorly trained in service. The "manager" didn't identify herself nor handle the situation professionally. I wanted to resolve this situation so it doesn't happen to anyone else but clearly this isn't a priority in this location. There are many other choices in Newnan. I will NEVER come back to this...

I ordered a Freddy's original double with cheese and a side order of both fries and cheese curds. The meat on the burger was evenly and thoroughly cooked. The toppings (pickles, mustard, and onions) complimented the burger and really reminded me of an Animal Style burger from In & Out (minus the lettuce and tomato; but you could always add those toppings if you wished). What I really enjoyed about the taste was the quality of the beef. It was cooked fresh and not in the oil of previous burgers and because the beef was such a high quality there was no need to muddle it's natural flavor with any sort of "clown sauce".

The fries were crispy and well seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika and the regular portion size was generous. The stand out, in regards to the sides, was definitely the cheese curds. While they were cheesy, they weren't overly salty and did not need marinara sauce (although none was provided). Again, the portion size was very generous and I felt like I got my money's worth.

I also tried some of the frozen custard and LOVED IT!! It's consistency was smooth and creamy but it wasn't overly sweet so any addition of mix ins did not push it over the edge of sweetness.

I visited the establishment at 11:00 AM today and between: ordering, waiting at the window, and receiving my food - I waited approximately 10 minutes which was reasonable given my order consisted of 3 burgers, 2 custards, 2 fries, and cheese curds coming out to roughly $35 dollars.

All in all, this is definitely a burger establishment Newnan sorely needed to add some variety to the McDonalds and Burger Kings that have taken...
