My friends and I had terrible experience in this place. The bartender who looked old was super rude to customers. He yelled at us that he couldn't have time to serve us after we waited in line for 30 mins. We then saw his boss came to correct him on food serving issue. This bartender then suddenly stopped his work with a super mad face and yelled at his coworker, a young guy to serve us. Besides, The singer, a young lady from the band at restaurant, cut in the line in front of me rudely. She didnt give any greeting but just arrogantly said "I need drinks!!!!" and especially moved her chest super close to me. (I was told the owner of the band was named Mark. Some ladies reminded my friends and I that Mark had a lot of grils. He did flirt with my girlfriend and almost with every lady there). That old bartender served this singer in 5 seconds but requested my friends and I to wait for 30 mins afterwards. Cocktails were just like water. In addition, we heard the host named Patrick was good at harassing and bullying Asian ladies by telling people their names were Tijuana, a Mexican city. Then people laughed at them saying they were hookers or Patrick just enjoyed hookers. Outside of this restraurant, a lady who looked liked Russian told me she was Patrick's guest, urged me to give her free cigarettes and then cried. Inside the restaurant, a lady named Jina smoked freely and happily in public. Unfortunately we can't see good value...
Read moreI visited the venue in August 2023 and ordered a garlic grilled salmon for $30 before tax, which was the most expensive item on the menu, over a live concert by the Kings of Queen with a barstool ticket for about $20 before tax. Receptionists were trying to sell remaining barstool seats for $30 at door, so booking in advance would save some.
Though edible, the grilled salmon tasted worse than what I could make at home because the meat was not marinated. The grilled broccoli and other vegetables were not spiced nor seasoned properly either, so they were too plain instead of savory. Just like in most restaurants, the portion of vegetables was miserable, which is unhealthy. Therefore, the plate for me was no better than a $6.99 supermarket deli box of cooked salmon.
The band performance was amazing. However, the sound system in the bar was terrible. I could barely decipher the lyrics due to the noisy speakers. With replacing speakers, one easy fix could be to lower the volume.
Overall, I was unsatisfied with the experience that cost me about $70 in total. I could have been better off listening to the band's music on YouTube with homemade or supermarket food. The bar may improve by using qualified chefs, outsourcing food preparation, and repairing the...
Read moreThis was my second time at Campus Jax. The musicians are very talented and the staff is great, except for the server that took our order that night, Cambria.
My husband's fries were cold and my salad was drenched in dressing. We didn't send it back because we were pretty hungry and just wanted to enjoy the music performance.
I ordered a mango madness margarita. I was looking forward to it because it came with tajin on the rim. When I got my drink, it was missing tajin. I waved the server down and asked "is this supposed to have tajin?". She said she would get some for me and left before I finished my sentence. She came back with a small plate of tajin. I didn't want to take it, but she placed the plate on the table and left before I could say anything. I wanted to explain to her that I could not add tajin to the rim of a full margarita cup.
I had been dismissed twice and was not able to wave her down until much later. I finally just asked her to take the drink back. She looked at me so upset. She didn't offer an apology, or offer to remake the drink. It felt like this server just had it out for me from the moment I ordered. It's unfortunate that this incident changed the direction...
