I am a food delivery professional. Last night I was lied to and treated extremely rudely by one of the people handing out the orders. I received the order at 7:03pm and was right around the corner. I have picked at Pannini many times. It was busy and the guy told me it would be 10 minutes. He told that to every driver as the backup grew. I didn't fall off the turnip truck. There were at least 10 tickets in the kitchen. I waited patiently and after 20 minutes I reminded the same guy he told me 10 minutes 20 minutes ago. His response "to bad". He was even ruder as I left at 7:30. Let me say that other restaurants apologize when they make you wait. Is that too much to ask??One very friendly restaurant up the street offers free sodas to the drivers that need to wait. Without hard-working drivers you could not deliver the food you sell which is a very high percentage in the evening. We are your business partners. I am not just a driver. I live in Newport Beach as a professional and have eaten at the Woodland Hills, Irvine, and CDM Pannini over a dozen times. Your food is good but the customer service I received was outright repulsive. All you have to do is be honest and polite. This gentleman was neither. You have lost my business and I have shared this experience with everyone I know. Feel free to give me your contact and I can provide more details. I was so upset I went back later got the guy's name and told him I was planning to share my bad experience. His final response...

Panini Kabob Grill has become one of our family go-to spots—especially with the kids! The vibe is casual but warm, with quick service that somehow still feels personal, even during peak hours. You can tell this place is always busy for a reason: the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying.

I always get the Avocado Salad with grilled chicken, and sometimes I add just a splash of lemon or milk to give it a creamy, tangy touch. It’s packed with fresh greens, buttery avocado, and tender chicken—light but filling, and absolutely crave-worthy.

My daughters are obsessed with the pesto linguine, and we always order it without artichokes and with fresh tomato instead. It comes on a beautiful bed of grilled chicken, and it’s honestly such a generous portion that they usually split it. The pesto is bright, garlicky, and comforting, and it’s always cooked just right.

The kids’ chicken plate is another winner—simple, clean, and perfect for little ones with big appetites. The chicken is grilled perfectly and comes with healthy sides that make it a total mom-approved meal.

What I love most is the consistency. No matter which location or how busy it gets, the food always tastes just as good, and the ingredients are always fresh. A total win for families looking for healthy, feel-good meals that still...

The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger groups. It strikes a balance between warmth and energy, making it an ideal spot for both new and familiar company. The staff is incredibly attentive and efficient, with Rigo and Geraldo standing out during our visit.

Rigo was exceptionally observant, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask—whether it was refills, to-go boxes, the bill, or takeout bags. Geraldo, our server, went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. He kept us laughing with his jokes all night, which not only made the experience more enjoyable but also made us feel comfortable ordering and asking for anything we needed.

The ambiance is inviting, and although the place was busy with every table occupied, we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of wait time. The portions are generous without compromising on quality, and the fresh ingredients shine through in both the entrées and desserts. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the excellent recommendations from Geraldo and Rigo that left us all wanting to come back for more.

Many thanks from all of us—Terry, Jules, Tom, Maria,...

I ordered catering from Panini Catering for my mother’s birthday celebration, and it was an absolute disaster. Every single red meat item—including all the beef skewers—arrived severely undercooked and completely raw inside. This wasn’t a minor oversight; it was a serious health hazard that could have made someone sick. Not only was the food unsafe, but it also ruined a special occasion. Guests were left hungry, and we had to scramble to cook the meat ourselves during the party. Imagine trying to salvage raw, catered food in the middle of a celebration—completely unacceptable. When I contacted the business, they offered a measly $50 refund for what was clearly a total failure on their part. No real apology, no accountability from management, and no attempt to take meaningful responsibility for what happened. This experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. If you care about food safety, reliability, or simply not being embarrassed in front of your guests, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I would never trust this company with a special event again.

Poor service!!! I went there with my friend on Sunday at around 5:30pm. There were a few number of empty tables so we sat outside on the sidewalk. I ordered salmon and my friend ordered small chicken soup. Food came in 10 mins. The food was good but I was so hungry that I asked one of the waiters to bring a slice of bread. I continued taking bites from my salmon while waiting the bread. The waiter did not bring the bread in 10 minutes. Then, I asked another waiter, he did not bother my order neither. I was almost taking the last bite from my food and I informed the first waiter by saying that I no longer need a slice of bread. I also told him to be more careful about what customers require. He responded politely. Finally, after paying the check without controlling the bill, I noticed that they added 1 dollar more for a slice of bread even though they did not give it to me. I was very angry but my friend insisted not to go back and talk about it.

I have been ordering food from panini since we moved to Newport about 14 years ago and have seen more store openings across OC and LA. I have also witnessed their prices increasing slowly every year while the quality and quantity of the food decreasing at the same time but nonetheless we have been patrons of this establishment in a regular basis mostly due to convenience. However, last night was likely the last time we have ordered from PKG as it has got to a point of ridiculousness. I reluctantly ordered two family combos for 4 for $152 only to come home and look at the koobideh container with pieces cut off and nothing hanging together. My wife actually questioned whether these were another party’s leftovers that were put in our order. Prices have increased everywhere and I totally understand that but the quality degradation at PKG is just absolutely unacceptable. It’s a pity.
