I went to the Sherman Gardens Nights of 100 Lights. This garden is amazingly beautiful, even without the lights. This year the theme was ‘Blue Christmas’ with Elvis. So…I could have done without the terrible Elvis impersonator, but the rest was breathtaking. I think this was the most beautiful Christmas display I have seen all season. First you enter an eerily moonlit garden with a Moon Goddess awaiting you in a fountain pool. Then you meander a lollipop lit path to Gingerbread Land. A cute gingerbread house surrounded by a sea of glowing candy awaits your exploration. Then you enter the glistening light tunnel for a few selfies. At the end are glass doors that lead you into the greenhouse to the disco inFERNo. Dance among the towering palms in the mist and fog, lit only by the disco lights. Then its on to snacks! Free coffee, hot chocolate with all the fixins, and make your own s’mores station. There is also alcoholic beverages and other food for purchase. Enjoy your food by the glowing palms and color changing fountain. After snacks you walk through the Christmas cactus garden. It is my favorite. Simple but elegant. On the way to Santa’s Workshop, don’t forget to say ‘Hi’ to the family of trolls. Have another beverage before you hit the road and enjoy this lovely courtyard. Then head into the gift shop for some cute...
Read moreLove how absolutely calm and beautiful this place is. Went on a Thursday around lunch so not many people were there. There is a parking lot right up front as well as street parkings.
In the garden is a restaurant, they accepts walk-ins but would recommend making a reservation just to be safe. (I think the restaurant itself closes at 2pm?)
After chatting with a staff I learn that they rotate the plants in the garden every few months or so, so most likely you’ll see some sort of flowers blooming during different seasons of the year. (They might be rotating again in the up coming month)
They also have different sections of plants like succulents, tropical(?) and sunlit areas (can’t quite remember all the sections and names so don’t quote me for it) so there’s plenty to see! The garden itself isn’t big but because of how much there is to see it feels a lot bigger than it looks imo. Also, I think they are remodeling or expanding an area? So we’ll see, I will be very looking forward to it🤩
They also host events that you can participate in, in which i would check their website or follow their newsletter for updates. Will update if I remember anything else or revisits. PS, the ticket was $5. Like, how is this not worth...

Sherman’s Gardens is always a beautiful visit that I can’t get enough of. Entry without a membership is $5 person. It’s a nice little walk around the gardens and we went when they were having their chrysanthemum show. They have a cute little gift shop in the back, and everything there is very reasonably priced!
The Gardens themselves are very beautiful with a wide variety of differ kinds of flowers, plant life, trees, statues and geodes that adorn the landscape making up the gardens.
Last year during Christmas time the gardens were decorated in a sort of winter wonderland theme, or at least that’s how I feel when was there. They have dining in the front of the gardens and in a small cafe for a very lovely luncheon. When we went today there was a baby shower and a birthday party being held in that section and I thought, I didn’t even think of having my parties here, but what a beautiful place to do it!
The staff is always warm, friendly and very helpful. I’m so glad my friend told me about these gardens I will be taking my niece and...
