My girl friend has been eating here since she was a little girl. And loves their kids turkey burger. So one day we decided to order a meal for take out to eat in the comfort of our own house. During the phone order I went over how she liked her turkey burger 3 times just to make sure it was made correctly. The employee repeated the order perfectly. But when we got the food home and my girlfriend opened her burger there were no condiments at all on it. Granted I should have checked before walking out of the restaurant so I wasn’t upset at anyone but myself at this point. But whet happens next is what got my blood boiling over on how my girlfriend was treated when she called the restaurant back to ask to have the burger comped.” Alberto” A shift lead or I prey not Manager Persisted to make every excuse in the world to why he couldn’t put the cost of the burger back on to the card it was purchased with. But also shamed her for asking to have the cost put on to a gift card when she was trying to come up with Solutions to his inadequacy regarding the matter. Yes Alberto 7 dollars may not be a big deal to you. And the cost isn’t the point here. The point is my girlfriend have a craving for a childhood favorite and was let down and then “price shamed” for asking for the cost to be replaced. Apparently “Alberto” has never heard about the golden rule when working in the service industry The costumer is always right and failed to do his job as a “shift lead” or i prey not “Manager” Shame on you mister Alberto...
Read moreFor some reason my mom is obsessed with Ruby's and always wants to go there for lunch when we get together with my sister and her kids. We've been to a number of other Ruby's locations and this one is one of the older and smaller ones. Their lot was already full when we got there so we had to find parking on the street, but luckily it wasn't too far away. We also had a hard time finding seating big enough for handle 4 adults and 2 kids. There was already a party occupying the one area where they could push a couple of tables together, so we opted to sit in 2 adjacent booths, which wasn't ideal but we didn't have to wait. Ruby's in general is a good place for kids--they have those paper cars to assemble, coloring sheets, lots of kid-friendly items on the menu and those gumball machines when they're done eating and invariably want to roam around the joint. I wasn't terribly hungry so I just ordered a Cobb Salad but boy did I regret it. It was one of the worst Cobbs I've had, just basically some shredded (not chopped) iceberg lettuce with deli turkey meat, bacon, avocado and olives piled on top (no egg!). It was pretty meh; I should've just ordered a burger--those are usually decent. That's what I get for trying to order "light", ugh. Everyone else was happy with their meals, though, and my mom and the kids had a good time so while that was good I think I'd rather go to their location on 2nd St in Long Beach next time; I've had much better...

I liked it better than another place down the road . We were commenting to the table, how friendly legitimate the service was and the food came out proper and delicious. Very happy breakfast and lunch for me here.
Unfortunately, on my way out of town, I stopped at the airport location. It was downright awful. The food was not exactly the same. The service was terrible. They seat you at filthy tables. You asked for it to be clean and they never happened. they’re stacking people like sardines on top of each other by the bar and then other sections is large and open. For some attitude reason I couldn’t sit there at one of the dining room tables like the other people I’m glad I did not stop at the airport location first or I would’ve never been to the other Ruby’s that I loved. in all fairness all airport. Food is crappy, but the rubies at the airport does not represent the brand not even close. The potatoes were like scraps. Black specs in cups. I did not drink the soda water. I was so ready to get out of there. I can’t wait to go back to my regular ruby when I’m...
