Community Youth Center & Grant Howald Park — Attraction in Newport Beach

Great community park with community center, playgrounds, play areas, picnic tables and restrooms. Because it’s up on the hill and set back from Pacific Coast Highway, it’s more a place frequented by locals. There’s beautiful scenery with the excellent gardening, pathways making for a pleasant walk thru! Parking can be difficult at times of events, with just about every space taken thru the small lots and 5th Ave. Then a musical chairs kind of shuffle...

My boyfriend and I stopped by the Park as a last minute decision, so my two year old son could let some energy out. The playground has a great variety of equipment for all children. It was clean and well kept, and restrooms on site. Everyone were happy, nice, and all the other children in the park played amazingly well...

Super nice soccer fields with several concrete benches to sit and enjoy games. Two areas to park with a limited amount of parking. The turf fields are well maintained. Restroom facilities are clean. I even noticed an A.E.D. device...
