First time trying our Stacks pancake house. We weren't too hungry, so hubby and I decided to share a meat lovers omelette with spinach added and our side upgraded to Ube pancakes, which came with 2 pancakes. I also ordered a Hot Hawaiian Latte to try. Everything was delicious. We came about 8:00 am on a Saturday, and there were a good number of people already. A good amount of seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. You order at the counter, and then they bring your food out to you. Service was excellent, efficient, and food came out fairly quickly. My Hawaiian latte had to go back for a new one as my cup was filthy dirty! They were quick to replace it with a fresh one in a clean cup! I loved my Ube pancakes as it was just the right sweetness. The texture of the pancakes was similar to mochi pancakes so it made it even more yummy! You definitely want to try this place if you are in the area!

my foodie persona: health-conscious, proteins vegetables and fats please. half of my plate shouldn't look like fried potatoes What I got: -Canadian bacon Eggs Benedict: Canadian bacon is fkin ham guys. it ain't bacon like the bacon we kno. half the plate is fried potatoes - kinda dry. 2 eggs Benedict, good hollandaise sauce, two slices of ham on fried English muffin (fried damn well). rly didn't want to pay 16 for a half plate of potatoes and 2 slices ham. taste-wise the Benedict were good. if you're all for carb heaven, this dish is for you. 3/5 bc the eggs taste good, but it's potato hell. sry for all u diabetics -island Chilaquiles: they used white rice instead Spanish rice. beans weren't cooked the authentic Mexican way. but the salsa was nice with the pork and eggs and the crunch of the nachos. much more worth than the Canadian bacon eggs Benedict: 3.25/5

Our first visit here and the name caught our attention to try it. After we ordered we were told was to go only. It wasn’t a problem as there was outdoor seating & was a nice day to be outside. We found a table & was dirty from someone previously & we cleaned ourselves. Later after we finished eating someone came & started cleaning tables. I had California Eggs Benedict with applewood bacon and Turkey & came with potatoes. My wife had regular stack buttermilk pancakes. I had coffee and my wife had fresh squeezed orange juice. The prices were reasonable and didn’t take long to prepare. There were a lot of employees working. We both enjoyed our food-was good, not spectacular.

This place was one of my favorite places but today it turned to be my nightmare. I ordered Chicken Katsu over rice with over-hard eggs. While I got the food, I was cutting the eggs and saw something was moving underneath that. It was a cockroach, as twice the size of my thumbnail, moving out from the Katsu sauce. I freaked out, called out to the restaurant staff, and two waitresses came and saw the insect already crawling out of the plate onto the table. They claimed the animal must have flew in after the plate was handed to me. But I saw it coming out under the Katsu sauce and the rice. Unfortunately, due to my confused state, I did not take any photos to sustain what I had experienced. My stomach still aching at this moment, after 5 long hours of feeling nauseated, and my poor Frenchie being shocked by my upset state. One certain thing is I will not go back to the restaurant, ever, even they issued me a demeaning $10 credit for future dining. What a...
