So, like any good American with an empty stomach that's fresh off a cold, I come to the greasiest place I can think for some dinner. I pulled up to Arby's for old time's sake, see how it tastes after not going for about 3 years.
Little did I know I was going to be the most disappointed I've ever felt in my life!
I haul my fat butt in to the (thankfully) not very crowded restaurant and wait in line with the other hungry folks until it was my turn. I walk up, greet the lady taking my order, promptly tell her what I'd like, a ham and swiss with bacon and 2 large curly fries. My server looked like she wanted me outta here ASAP even though I was prompt and direct. Of course, I paid up and got out of her hair quickly.
I got my food in a timely manner and got out, having ordered to go. I made the mistake of not checking my food as I was in a rush to get home before the sun got too low. As soon as I got home, my dad and I noticed that our fries tasted relatively stale, no biggie, they probably don't have time to make fresh ones. It was then that I noticed that my sandwich was lacking one crucial thing... My bacon that I had specifically ordered. My bacon, which costed $1.39 extra to put on. My sandwich was fresh given the heat and melted cheese, but that bacon? I'll never know if it was fresh since I never got it. The sandwich tasted like nothing, by the way.
Arby's has consistently shown me through each time I've randomly gone that they do not care about giving the customer what they've paid for, this is the nail in the coffin that solidifies this for me. It's not only ridiculous that I'm paying a dollar extra just to add some bacon, but it's also ridiculous to justify paying about 16 dollars for poor quality food AND not even get everything you ordered. I didn't even consider writing this review until I saw how much of an upcharge it is to get EXTRA BACON on a SANDWICH that barely tastes like anything other than total disappointment.
Don't come here unless you're that in love with the idea of being...
Read moreIt is good the majority of the time. Everyone has a bad day now and then. But they are usually good.
I was reading below and someone said their order was wrong and gave a not so nice review. I have had a few occasions something might have been missed but if you call they always more than make it right. As I said originally everyone has bad days. Out of all the places in Newport this is one of the very few places I can list that I dont stress going through the drive thru. Most places you worry about food being fresh and or there. Like Taco Bell if you order dessert 9 out 0f 10 times (being generous) it isnt there. Food is generally good except bean burritos and they have went way down hill sad bc was one of my favorites. Mc donalds ffs is disgusting and food isnt always hot. KFC rarely has what is on their menu and is aggrivating bc we usually have lg orders. BK and Long Johns has been good of late. Hardees dont go unless breakfast bc their best manager was moved and the one who took her place was horrific. I say was bc it has been years since...
Read moreMy son and I went thru the drive thru around 11:30 am. today and ordered smoked BBQ brisket, beef and cheddar, curly fries, and potato cakes. The lady even asked me at the window if I needed any sauces, I said ketchup and three spicy peppers. I usually am pretty good at checking my order. However, this time, I made a mistake of only counting that i have all the orders but not checking on the sandwich itself. Well, 60 miles away when I was ready to chow down on my BBQ brisket low and behold, not a drop of BBQ sauce found! In the sandwich or the bag. This makes me believe the lady who took my order did it on purpose because there was a printed out req for BBQ packets (I didn't ask for one, btw) so the person who made the sandwich did exactly what was on that print, like no sauce in the sandwich but on the side. But i didn't order it like that. If i want that, i would have ordered one very dry smoked brisket, no bbq sauce. But that was the whole point of getting a bbq brisket.. needless to say, i was very...
