Butch's Sports Bar — Restaurant in Newport

Butch's was great! We went there for the 1st time for a few beers and to watch some football. We were sitting at a bar and a man came and introduced himself- Butch. He was very friendly and funny and talked to us for 3 hours. It's a bar filled w locals - very friendly people - Butch introduced us to all of them. It felt like we were at Cheers and was a very fun scene. Carla (bartender) was super attentive and the drinks were inexpensive. And Butch provides a spread on game days. - we had wings from Webb's (delicious!), meatballs and queso - all on the house! It was a great experience and we will def go back! ...

Not a bad place but not my thing. It's a cash bar in case you're counting on using cards. A gentleman smoking near us ran us out faster than we might have...

The remodel is fantastic. When sports make a comeback, all games can be seen. The new set up is great for both small and large groups to sit and enjoy....
