Called them to request a cake, they were very enthusiastic and I told them I would call back and confirm my order. Instead of calling back in an hour, I called back the next morning and the man was very rude over the phone and said “oh you’re the person who said will call back but never did” and then he said that it couldn’t be done in 2 days, even though I never specified the size of the cake. This place is great. It pains me that it has taken me so long to find this place. I drove by them probably 30 times since moving to Newton and even before that when I lived in Brighton but never stopped in. Finally, when going to the UPS store across the street, I decided to check it out. The homemade bread is amazing. The scones have been fantastic every time that I have gotten one. I also got a cinnamon roll the last time I was there and it was delicious. Now I look forward to going in for a sandwich. Breadsong rules I wish they were open later! Theyre all very nice people and they make GREAT iced coffee (the ice is made of frozen iced coffee) and fantastic breads and pastries. Their muffins are phenomenal and their campanchanas (a sweet bread knot) are also. Come in the morning, because breadsong closes early, and they frequently sell out of the best stuff.
