Dave’s Hot Chicken has undoubtedly captured my heart, palate, and senses with its tantalizingly delicious menu offerings. As a self-proclaimed chicken enthusiast, I am always on the hunt for the perfect blend of flavors, textures, and heat, and Dave’s Hot Chicken delivered in every aspect, earning a resounding five-star rating!

From the moment I stepped foot into Dave’s, the intoxicating aroma of their signature spice blend permeated the air, instantly whetting my appetite and leaving me eager for what awaited me. The rustic yet vibrant ambiance created the perfect backdrop for my gastronomic adventure, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the chicken. Each morsel at Dave’s Hot Chicken is a testament to their culinary prowess. The perfectly crispy exterior, achieved through their unique double frying technique, yields to reveal tender, juicy meat bursting with flavor. The heat levels range from “country” to “reaper,” catering to both the mild enthusiasts and the daredevil spice seekers. Whether you prefer a mild tingle or a fiery inferno, Dave’s Hot Chicken has got you covered.

But it’s not just about the chicken; Dave’s offers an array of delectable sides that complement their star attraction flawlessly. The crinkle-cut fries, dusted with their secret spice blend, are addictive, while the tangy pickles provide a refreshing contrast to the richness of the chicken. Don’t even get me started on their buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cornbread. Each bite is a revelation.

The service at Dave’s Hot Chicken is exceptional, with a team that exudes warmth, attentiveness, and genuine passion for their craft. They are more than happy to guide you through the menu, suggesting perfect pairings and ensuring your dining experience exceeds expectations.

Lastly, I must mention the fantastic value for money at Dave’s. Not only are the portion sizes generous, but the quality and taste of their food far surpass the modest prices. Dave’s Hot Chicken truly offers an unforgettable culinary adventure without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, if you’re a chicken lover seeking a taste bud-tingling, spice-infused extravaganza, look no further than Dave’s Hot Chicken. With its divine flavors, exceptional service, and unbeatable value, this eatery has secured its place as my go-to destination for a chicken feast. Trust me, a visit to Dave’s will leave you craving more, eagerly counting down the days until your next hot and...

They buy reviews and specifically “5 star reviews” from their customers. Went in today to order and after I told they cashier what I wanted I was asked “would you like a drink with that” I declined and he said “it’s free, you don’t want a free drink?”. I said “alright, sure” and he said proceeded to tell me how I had to leave them a 5 star review by scanning the QR code and once I did that I needed to show him and he’d give me a drink. He specifically mentioned it had to be all 5 stars to get the drink and they were checking too.

They wanted me to leave the review BEFORE I even got the food and the guy made sure to tell me his name multiple times as if he wanted some sort of good employee review. They rest of the crew were also in on it as people were coming out to check reviews and other’s were also telling customers the same thing. They were definitely told to do this by owners and management. They were also giving free milkshakes for 5 star google reviews. The line was getting so long because they were adamant on having those reviews left while people stood there. So much for 5 star customer service.

I didn’t end up doing the review but noticed that I ordered, waited, and got my food all before the next person’s order taking was even completed because they were waiting on her review. The people behind her in line seemed a little annoyed and it continued this way. I don’t mind a business encouraging people to leave an honest review, keyword: honest, for something in return but to buy specifically 5 star reviews, check to make sure they’re 5 stars, hold up your customers to buy these reviews, and want the reviews before your customers even try to damn food (so you don’t even know what you’re reviewing)?! That’s absurd.

Ironically, my food this time was the worst it’s ever been. Probably because they’re focused on buying reviews and making it LOOK like they’re a great business making great food instead of BEING a great business that makes great food. Let your customers leave honest feedback unless you don’t have faith it’ll look as good...

Incredible experience. I have had Dave's previously when I visited San Diego last summer and since then I have been waiting eagerly for it to arrive here in Massachusetts.

First, of all the staff was incredibly friendly and the customer service was top tier, despite the number of customers they were serving, which is really commendable.

The food was as good as I remember from San Diego. I had 2 sliders (medium and hot), and my wife had a slider and tender (both medium). The chicken was insanely juicy and flavorful, the breading was crispy but light at the same time. The bun was fresh and very soft with a hint of sweetness. The crinkle cut fries were really crispy.

The spice level in the medium slider was perfect. The hot slider, while not insanely spicy for my taste, seemed to hit the point where the spice took away from the flavor so the medium was the perfect balance for us. Plus the sauce, slaw and pickles cut through the spice very well and provide some contrasting crunch which I really liked. The medium tender by itself, however, did have a little bit of a late burn without any of the extra ingredients in the slider. I will definitely try the hottest level at some point, I just didnt want to ruin my meal the first time.

My only 2 (minor) criticisms would be the amount of cheese on the fries. Even though they were delicious, I wish there was a little more cheese. And secondly, since the tenders are also what are used in the sliders, the construction of the sandwich made it a little difficult to eat (especially in my car). Some bites had a lot of chicken while others had a little less. I remedied that in my second slider by breaking off the tail end of the tender and re-distributing the chicken myself which worked well enough.

Side note: they gave us little shot glasses while we were in line with Massachusetts state on them which...

As our car chugged along into the car park, we spotted an empty lot and rushed to our delight. To be honest, parking was challenging on a Saturday noon. The hot sun wasn't helping but we saw the tent outside Dave's hot chicken with a pretty long line. Fortunately, the lines went fast but there was only one counter open, but may have been done intentionally to keep up with the orders. I've been longing for a good HALAL hot chicken sandwich and been hearing from my West Coast friends about Dave's. Ordered combo #1 and #3, one each for wifey and me. As I bite into my first highly anticipated tenders (medium spicy), I could hear the crackling sound and the light spice with a hint of sweetness hitting my taste buds. Bismillah and Alhamdullilah, it was superb! I tried my next bite drizzled with honey and Dave's hot sauce, and even better it made me salivate for more. Highly recommend the tenders over the sliders, just because of the crispiness of the outer shell of the chicken without being soggy with the sauce. The Halal certificate that was clearly stuck on the wall, gave me extra assurance that the food was toyyib, with certainty. The fries that come along was well spiced and the pickles gave a good balance. I would only recommend one thing on the food, improve the recipe of the Mac and Cheese, it wasn't viscous enough, if I only had a viscometer to measure. My daughter was really excited, but the fact she didn't finish her Mac and Cheese speaks volumes. Another recommendation would be a store further away from the most expensive city in Boston, Newton. Not sure about the business strategy but I am sure if Dave's opened at Malden or Roxbury or even Assembly row at Somerville, it will be a hit with the Muslim community. Tasty yummy food, minor feedback, keep up the great work!
