Decided on a whim after an awesome massage to treat myself to dinner on a Monday night
Honestly, I wanted pho but the nearby pho restaurant only did takeout and I wanted to dine in.
I found Four Spoons and there was plenty of free meter parking outside (after 6pm).
I walked in and it was super cute inside with plenty of seating available!
Didn't feel awkward eating alone at all, wasn't the only one.
Ordered and the food came out so quickly!!!!
Got the: Lychee Tai Tea - this was SO refreshing with 3 pieces of lychee inside!! nice surprise, but I didn't realize that there wouldn't be the Milky portion, so i just asked for that afterwards and added it myself, BEST Thai tea around in my books!! Lobster Goat Cheese Rangoons - so yummy and I LOVE the cute little flower spoon to pour the plum sauce Duck Noodle Soup - I was craving something soupy and this hit the spot. I do wish I ordered it to be spicy though because it did need something extra. I really loved the gai-lan (Chinese broccoli) cooked al dente just like i like it!!
Food was delish, staff was attentive and checked in often, and portions were large - I couldn't finish and had to pack it up for breakfast tomorrow.
Would come back! They have booths that are good for 2-4 people that...
Read moreThe food is always fresh and delicious. Other than a few expensive dinner entres, it’s reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. The food is always prepared, presented and/or packaged immaculately.
My main issue with the restaurant is that they get too busy and the food is rarely ready on time. I think they need more staff, perhaps more chefs, and most importantly a realistic wait prediction. Also, while never rude, the staff has sometimes been abrupt because they were so busy. In fact, one time when they were especially busy, they told me it would take over two hours to make my order, and I would be better off not ordering. I understand and respect the honesty, but I felt under-appreciated as a loyal customer and I felt they could have don’t it in a nicer way or offered me a small discount or free item for the future.
I’m still giving them four stars because they are the best Thai I’ve had locally and there food has consistently fresh, high quality, and with...
Read moreA disastrously distasteful meal at a close to $100. Ordered three soups, chives dumplings, two "signatures" (lava seafood and "bronzini three flavor"), and drunken noodles. The soups were the only edible parts of the order, and even so - wonton soup was incongruously spicy. Chives dumplings turned out to be 8 triangular pieces of burnt vegetable matter on two sticks, looked dark brown, tasted as they looked, not sure what the cook had in mind. Lava seafood was mediocre at best, the size of the portion a bit too small and the source boring; the drunken noodles were below average - overcooked uninspired vegetables with no taste, flat noodles that were boiled into a sticky mess. But the "bronzini" was an unmitigated disaster - the fish was simply inedible, most likely tilapia, overcooked, and tasted like school cafeteria. Nobody at the table was brave enough to eat past the first bite. Unacceptable at any price and certainly not at what we have...
