I was very excited to try Popeyes as it right next to my house and have heard good things about the chicken. I have to say I am very disappointed. It was bombarded with food delivery drivers (which is fine) but they were rude but points go to the manager for stopping them for being rude. She is the only reason it gets 2 stars. Food was bland and unseasoned, portions were misleading and the people packing orders were not careful on what to pack.
I ordered chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, a biscuit, and red beans and rice. Honey mustard and Mardi Gras mustard.
I went in and ordered my food. It was VERY slow to get my food, as it the chicken was not done and no biscuits. The manager saw me waiting and tried to push for my food being ready which I appreciate. Then the biscuits were not done but at this point I was waiting about 15 minutes. The manager told me that the biscuits would be a few more minutes and gave me an additional side which I appreciate and chose coleslaw. Again she was fine.
When I got to the car I realized I got two orders of coleslaw, and no Mac and Cheese one was already in the bag (which her people already packed) and she grabbed a second one. I went back in and she changed it and again told the delivery drivers to chill. She was a rockstar under so much stress.
I got home and realized my dipping sauces were wrong and got ranch instead of one of my mustards. So this was the second packing mistake on top of slow food.
So I tried the food, there was no salt or pepper on the tenders (2/5) and not enjoyable to eat and the sides were very lack luster. All the containers were barely filled with basically a couple of spoonfuls in each container. The red beans and rice were fine (2/5)but there was like 5 beans and a spoonful of rice. The coleslaw was just to mayonnaisey for my taste which according to the pictures it didn't look that creamy but not a problem since it wasn't to my taste. The Mac and cheese was alright but very little of it came in the container and was quite salty and was kinda cold (I live 4 minutes from the store) .
I know the store is new and I could see there was a rush and the manager was good but to many mistakes,...

I ordered via the app and arrived 10-12 minutes later. The very small 12X12 lobby was filled with 20+ people waiting for their orders. More people came and left when they saw the disaster in the lobby, I saw some orders on a shelf not accessible by customers. There was nobody manning the window to "expedite" orders. The manager was yelling at the employees "the lobby is full of customers" and to "pack orders" but did absolutely nothing to actually help the situation.
After I waited about 10 minutes an employee finally came to the window (who knows how long the 20 people who already there when I arrived waited) with orders in random order. All the order numbers that were placed after mine were out so I inquired. The employee looked at the bags sitting on the rack, said nothing, and walked away. Other customers were visibly annoyed, including a woman who told employees she had been waiting for 25 minutes.
Employees came by the window to place orders on the rack not accessible to customers but did not call out names or order numbers and just walked away. Finally after I waited for more than 20 minutes, an employee finally came to the window to answer to angry customers annoyed their orders were taking so long.
I was finally handed my order at 25 minutes which had been sitting on the rack for at least 10 minutes. The end result was MY FOOD WAS ICE COLD. The chicken was overcooked and cold. The fries were soggy and cold.
It's a shame. I was excited for Popeye's to open so close to my house. But I will not ever return to this location. There are plenty of other non-fast food places nearby to get better food at similar prices where you will get far better quality food much faster.

I've never had Popeye's before, so when I heard several months ago that they were opening a location nearby, I anxiously awaited its opening for months.
I definitely suggest ordering online, which we did. The online order gave us an estimate of when the food would be ready, but we still had to wait about 15 additional minutes. Not a huge deal, as I understand they just opened and they are busy, but this is definitely something to keep in mind for those who plan to order in advance.
I do, however, have a problem with the food: the chicken was BLAND and contained virtually no seasoning whatsoever. I'm not sure if this is standard for Popeye's, since I never had it prior to our visit. Even KFC puts at least some herbs and spices in their cuisine.
We ordered a large mashed potatoes and we were given about a 5oz portion. Not sure if that was a mistake or if that's the standard size.
Lastly, this seems to be a takeout only place, so keep that in mind as well.
