Starbucks — Restaurant in Newton

Had an awful experience here twice – will not go back. I go to a lot of Starbucks all over the world as I travel. A young barista insulted and swore at me for no reason as I stood outside with my coffee checking my messages. The manager was supposed to handle the situation and never adequately did. I was told I could have a free drink which doesn't make up for someone insulting and swearing at you. I went in to get my free drink and two other members of the staff were insulting and threatening. I can't comprehend this abusive "customer service." Hopefully all these people have been fired because there is a sick culture at this particular store. Starbucks corporate gave me $50. Even that doesn't make up for abusive "customer service." Nobody needs that. I have spent a lot lot lot of money at Starbucks over the years. Makes me not want to support them at all when they hire ill-equipped people like this, let these kinds of things slide and try to pay you off...

The worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I would happily give them -1 star because they definitely do not deserve any stars at all. Period. They are always slow, even for mobile pick up. The slow thing is very annoying, but I deal with it. However today’s service was unacceptable. I went in at 6:00 AM and when I got to the counter a VERY disheveled and unorganized employee rudely told me I could only order a latte. When I asked why, she in a very snippy tone said it was because they opened late and didn’t have coffee. HELLO?! YOU ARE STARBUCKS. I was blown away about how rude she was and how terrible this location is. Not to mention the employee who was unpacking the food, IN THE MIDDLE of the line, was man handling the food. Completely understaffed, very busy, long line, uncomfortable seating. This is the line at lunchtime (12 noon) on Thursday. 2-3 people working in the entire store.

I saw people coming and leaving immediately because of the long line. Baristas seem rushed and are probably under a lot of stress.

Also, the seating benches are hard wood with no padding - your butt has been warned. There are small pieces of trash on the floor. Table tops were also dirty. The bar area where the drinks are given to customers has coffee spills. Dirty cafe. Lastly, the air-conditioning can't keep up with all the people, so it's very warm in here in the summer.
