This is my very 1st review ever. Disappointed isn't the word. I happened to be in Niceville for a doc appt and went online searching for a good place to grab a bite and quickly head on home. Almost all reviews were great, but our experience sucked. We just left there with our food, traveling back home. Our "extra" BBQ sauce was 2 small cups and the "extra" salt was an extra utensil packet. My pork sandwich would have probably been excellent, however it was so dry, along WITH the 2 cups of BBQ sauce added to it I couldn't eat it. My mother's Piggy Potato, granted it was HUGE, but also so dry with extremely little sauce. Let's not mention the hair she pulled out of the middle about 6 bites into it. Hair nets aren't worn at this place I'm sure. Staff was extremely friendly to me, however she was trashing the customers in line before us because they apparently thought sauce came on the side without requesting it. I probably would have thought the same as the car ahead of us had I not made sure to ask since even though they do put sauce on everything, it's just not nearly enough. My cole slaw was way too dry and the cheese muffins AREN'T BISCUITS and they weren't worth writing home about. Cole slaw would have also probably been really good with more sauce in it. We won't make this mistake...
Read moreI’m in awe and disgust with how this location treated us. She asked for a moment and I told her “Oh that’s no problem! This is our first time here so we’ll just take a look at the menu.” ...no response. No big deal! Clearly she was busy if she asked for a moment. We figure out what we want, and we wait...we watch the line dwindle down. We start to wonder if we’ve been forgotten about.
“Hello?” “YES.”
Whoa. So we think to ourselves what does “Yes” mean exactly? Is she ready? That’s not really a response I’d expect in this situation. Maybe a “yes ma’am! We’re ready when you are!” OR “Sorry about your wait! Go ahead if you’re ready?”
So we ask “Uhh...are you ready?”
At this point we could hear the attitude in her following response: “We’ve BEEN ready!!! We’ve been listening and waiting!!”
So obviously I say “Wow! Never mind.” And start to drive off. This is when my experience got even more fun! She then HANGS out her window to yell at us even more. My kids started to cry! So thanks for that. We went into our new town today hoping to give our business to a locally owned place, and now we’ve driven away from one of the most unprofessional experiences of my life. Btw. My dash cam caught this on camera.
So a miscommunication disaster that was handled VERY poorly. We...
Read moreWe stopped here while passing through to try it out as another Jim n Nick's location is currently under construction near our house. We got the Beef Brisket BBQ plate and Pig in the Garden Salad. As someone who is into the BBQ scene myself, it would be easy to say it's not the best BBQ I've ever eaten, but that's not the point. To do quick service BBQ well is a big challenge and they do it pretty good, which is why I give it 5/5 stars. The drive thru line moves pretty quickly and the food is decent. I was impressed by how much brisket came in the platter. The salad was an excellent combination of ingredients. The cheese biscuits were the real surprise and next time I'll know to order an extra dozen. The baked beans were just okay (barely had any pork) and the coleslaw was good (pepper does the trick). I was not a fan of the BBQ sauce, but the meat definitely didn't need it, and I don't use sauce anyway. We will definitely...
