Delish Pizza — Restaurant in Nicholasville

As i do when i review a restaurant i order most of their sides and one of their main dishes. They make this easy to do because they have an option to order a small portion of most of their sides. This option is called the sampler platter. Next i ordered a garlic supreme pizza size large. I tried some toppings that don't usually come on this pizza to get a good all around experience. I used the website to place my pick up order. Its a very easy process no complaints with that. I was then told the price. The pricing is extremely high. One large pizza “14 inches” is $26.05 !!! As you can tell this is not a good place to get pizza for a party. Two large pizzas would cost you $52.10 !!! Now lets get to the juicy part. The taste, lets start with the sides. You are going to absolutely hate the sides if you are easily able to identify freezer burned Items. Every single one of the sides tasted like a block of ice off the inside wall of a deep freezer. All but one. The jalapeño poppers. The strong pepper taste that jalapeños have pulls away from that frozen taste. So if your choosing a side that is the only one that i could truly recommend. Next the pizza. All of the toppings for some odd reason tasted fresh. I was shocked after experiencing the sampler platter. The dough was a slightly different story. The crust is nice and crisp. And sadly its the only part that i liked about the dough. The portion of it that is located below the cheese and fresh toppings settled a deep hatred for this pizza in me. And you may like it depending on how you like your pizza. But ill let you decide. It was absolutely the mushiest I've ever experienced from a recently made pizza. Its odd because its thicker than some pizzas so the “mushiness” was from the top (directly under the cheese) and the bottom was sort of crisp/firm. To finish i tried some of the ranch that was offered to me for free. I have no clue what brand they use but it’s probably my new favorite. 10/10 would recommend. Best Pizza in Town! Went in on a Friday evening, promptly welcomed, greeted, offered a menu and time to order. Ordered the two-topping two-medium special; Mushrooms & Sausage, Chicken & Roasted Garlic; with a side of creamy pesto bread. When I got home, I was shocked with happiness to see actual roasted cloves of garlic on the pizza with the chicken, thinking they would've used minced instead. I wanted to shed a tear of joy, for seeing such care and concern placed in these pizzas, something I hadn't tasted since my visits to NYC, or Pazzo's during it's glory days. The crust was not too doughy, crisp yet tender. The sauce fresh, not too sweet but just right, punctuated by the fresh ingredients topped on the pie, the sublime essence of garlic as the cloves melted in my mouth with each bite. An important factor for me - the pizzas were not greasy, which proves the freshness of the ingredients they were prepared with. The house made ranch to dip the exquisite crust in was smooth, not too sour, but creamy and not overwhelming, complimenting the flavor of the pizza and not overtaking it. The pesto bread was just as good as the pizzas, fresh, balanced, delicious. I feel ashamed I hadn't tried this place sooner, Delish Pizza is amazing, they will now be my go-to spot.
