Momma's Tap House Bar and Lounge — Restaurant in Nicholasville

A few weeks ago I traveled from Illinois to Nicholasville, KY. I arrived in Kentucky at the hotel a bit late due to a long work day and travel time. I searched for a relatively close bar/pub for a few beers to decompress from a long day. I went to Momma’s Tap House. The folks and staff were amazing. Service was great. Even though it was evident I wasn’t from the area (wearing a Michigan Wolverine sweatshirt), I was welcomed and made a few friends… most notable was Boston Bobby. Excellent beer selection. Well stocked bar. Impressive re-purposing of an old home. Stellar fenced deck and yard, and wrap-around porch. Cozy and chill vibe inside with personable bar-tending and engaging owner. The list of things that we loved about our visit just goes on and on...like the fact that you can bring your pooch with you on Sundays to hang out back while you enjoy chilling with a beverage and maybe get into a game of corn hole. Anyway - whether you live in Nicholasville or are looking for a chill place with a welcoming local vibe, this place is worth a visit. If you ever wanted to go to a bar in a remodeled single family home, this is your spot. plenty of seating and space inside, unexpectedly, as well as a patio out back. my girlfriend and I enjoyed burning a hole in their dancefloor area in a side room, which also has a DJ booth and great sound, but the tunes that night were from the jukebox. staff was friendly and drinks were priced like you would expect at local bars in nicholasville. my only complaint is the limited number of taps and variety. out of maybe +-10 taps there was only a single IPA( west 6th) available. they did however have a porter which is rare in this area.
