New York Bagel & Bialy caught my eye a few times while driving through the area, and I vowed to check it out at some point after looking it up on Yelp. Once i saw that it was endorsed by some of Yelps finest: Jim J, Nina H, Angela S, and Maryana S, that interest built even more, so if you see this review make sure you check out their reviews too.

As for my order, I ordered a turkey breast sandwich w/ a natural flavor black cherry soda on the side, which overall did not disappoint. I held back from eating it during my drive to my apartment, so that I could share pictures of it with all of you future New York Bagel & Bialy visitors, which took hell of discipline because it smelled good and tasted good in the end.

As for the restaurant itself it has a classy feel to it due to its inner look, and what the menu consists of. If you have an interest in pastries & cookies they have that as well along with a variation of deli sandwiches, hotdogs, pizza and a variety of bagels to choose from w/ the option to make it a bagel sandwich or bagel pizza.

As for last minute advice before I end this review, I recommend coming in the evening or late evening versus during lunch hours because parking is slim due to it being shared with other businesses, plus New York Bagel & Bialy is open 24 hours a day. With that being said, I hope you all enjoy and I leave you with this quote by Jillian Michaels - "I just look at a bagel and my ass gets...

This is the only place I've found so far around Chicago that makes a halfway decent bagel. Now to be clear, in NJ, where I'm from, this would be a very average joint, but out here it's all we got! I've had their bagels on a few occasions, and their chicken salad as well, which is again, pretty good. Prices are reasonable, again, since there is nothing this quality in the area. When I've gone in the past, service was okay to my recollection, but this last time I went, it was a Sunday afternoon and the line was about 15 people long and it took them about 30 minutes to get through the line, which kept replenishing. I don't understand why every person working had to ring up the order on the register and then go prepare it themselves? Like basic food service, in a rush, you have one person taking orders and the others doing the prep, and one person grabbing items from the case. They had 4 people working (albeit at a sloth's pace, and many people had orders 10 items long), so even so could have gotten people out much faster. At least have people wait in the waiting area once they've ordered, rather than having the whole line of people who haven't ordered out the door - I was about ready to walk out. I'll come again, maybe just avoid Sunday afternoons. A little counter seating or something would...

What a great find! Everyday I drive past this place and it is always packed. I never had the chance to check it out until today. Let me tell you I was not disappointed! I honestly didn’t know what to expect. They are respectful with the covid restrictions. Only 6 people in at once. They have so many things on the menu! I cannot wait to go back and try everything else! They even had a vegan dessert at the counter. I got a pizza bagel, bialy dog, a medium size cream cheese, a bag of bagel chips (they are amazing! Perfect thickness and super crisp!) and my boyfriend got a turkey sandwich. The bagels are perfectly cooked. Soft to bite into. Not a struggle to eat. Sometimes bagel sandwiches can be difficult to eat. We were so impressed by everything. We loved the layout and atmosphere! Some other reviews said the workers were rude. I didn’t think they were rude. Not overly friendly either but that didn’t bother me. The gentleman was all business and answered our questions promptly without rolling his eyes or being annoyed. He even came over when he was preparing our food to ask if we wanted condiments on our dog or on the side. They were super efficient and we are definitely...

This is my favorite bagel place in the city (it's on the edges but I would say it is well worth the commute). Almost anytime you come during the day, there will be a line at or out the door, and for good reasons. It is a small shop featuring bagels, pastries, deli meats, lox, and sandwiches. The staff can be standoffish but I have no issue with it because they make bomb food and are never outright rude to me. These bagels reign supreme, my personal favorite being the rye but you can’t go wrong with any (other favorites - onion, garlic, poppy, jalapeno cheddar and plain). They have a soft interior with a nice, crunchy shell. I always get the lox sandwich, loaded with everything when I come. The lox is fantastic, the chive schmear is delicious, and the other veggie toppings are good quality. They have fair prices and are 24/7 (2AM bagel runs are the late night move). Seriously, I can’t say much more than to just try this place. I will note, if you drive, the lot is small and usually is almost full. I typically can find a spot, if not in front, around the corner.

If you’re in search of an authentic Jewish bagel experience, look no further than New York Bagel & Bialy in Lincolnwood. This spot has been a beloved staple in the community for years, offering bagels that are simply unmatched. The bagels here are perfectly chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside, with a flavor that harkens back to classic New York-style bagels. Their bialys are equally impressive, with just the right amount of seasoning and a soft, doughy texture. The service is quick and friendly, making it an excellent choice for both a quick breakfast or a leisurely weekend brunch. Don’t miss out on their wide variety of schmears and the option to grab a freshly baked bialy with butter. One thing to note: they prefer cash payments, so be sure to have some on hand. Whether you’re a bagel enthusiast or simply looking for a taste of classic Jewish comfort food, New York Bagel & Bialy is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Amazing bagels, bialy, fresh breads, desserts, schmears and deli sandwiches. Open 24 hours for that late night fix. If you're not sure where to start grab yourself one of their reuben sandwich combos and definitely don't leave without a Mish Mosh or garlic bagel and tub of their house made spreads. Covid note: A limited number of people allowed indoors to order at a time. Be prepared for a short wait outside at peak hours like lunch time. Out-of-towners: Bring your own ice and cooler. Don't be that person buying a pound of pastrami arguing over the counter as to why they won't give you nonexistent tubs of ice for your 5 hour trip home. They have no ice. They only serve bottled drinks. You're definitely going to buy more than you think so plan ahead!
