I have been going to the Pita Inn, in it’s various incarnations, since the 1980s, and I couldn’t have been more disappointed than on my most recent visit. In order to spend as little time in the restaurant as possible, due to Covid, I decided to try their online ordering option. After placing my order, I was notified that it would take 30 minutes to prepare the food. I waited in the parking lot until the time elapsed and went into the restaurant only to find one long line to accommodate all patrons, either picking up or placing orders. It was confusing as there was not a dedicated register for pick up orders, and as I stood in line I watched many people pacing around the restaurant in confusion as to whether they should be bypassing the order line to pick up their food from the front, or waiting in line with everyone else. When I finally got to the front of the line and showed the cashier my email receipt, she could not find my order and sent me to a waiting area with other customers that had apparently made the same mistake of ordering online. The whole time waiting in the Pita Inn most patrons didn’t pay any attention to proper distancing, and no one staffing the restaurant was making sure that the customers were keeping a safe distance. The staff seemed very harried, but the only plus was that each one seemed to be at least wearing their mask properly. From ordering my food online to actually receiving the order took about an hour. If this experience were already bad enough, the meal I received for my family was mediocre at best. The Pita Inn will always have a special place in my heart, and I sincerely hope they are able to figure out a better online system, and a better and safer way to process their clientele, but I doubtfully will be going back in to see if they ultimately are able to...
Read moreHave not been here in a couple of years, and boy am I glad that we decided to stop in here.
The Pita Inn had been expanded since the last time I was here. It's now at least three times the size of the previous space. That's a good thing because there was always a wait for a table.
They also have a parking lot with lots of spaces.
You can sit in the front sunny corner, or in the center dining room, which has lots of tables, with surprisingly comfy chairs. It looks like the favorite place to sit are the 8 booths in the back corner. They are right in front of the bathrooms.
When you step inside, go straight past the water art and to the right to place your order or pick up your phone or online order. After you place your order, they give you a circular disk buzzer so you can go and pick up your food once it's ready after you find a table.
We had one of the lunch specials, the business lunch special which is a combination of shish kebab, kofta Kebab, shawarma, chicken tender and falagel served with rice pilaf, salad, and their homemade pita bread.
This is an amazing deal for only 6.99. And is valid Monday through Friday only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and not on holidays.
The other 2 lunch specials are: chicken tenders and falafel served with rice, salad, and pita bread, and the veggie lunch special which is a combination of falafel, grape leaves, hummus served with rice salad and pita bread.
The portion was large and I was able to eat two meals from my one business lunch special.
The food is fresh, healthy, great-tasting, prices can't be beat, and the service is excellent.
Will happily return here again, especially on a weekday for a...
Read moreOkay let me start off with the hospitality of the person waiting our table... LATIF is a gem of this place. We came for very first time and we cannot wait to come back and much of it is because of the amazing and joyous service Latif gave. We hope he's there the next time we visit,I'll be bringing more family members who hasn't tried Pita Inn yet. He is 10 stars!
Next, the food you get is pretty good. I do see from older menus year or 2 ago that their lunch prices have gone up by a dollar or so. I'm glad they didn’t raise prices and also make portions smaller at same time. The lunch specials are amazing diverse food options for meat eaters and vegetarians. We tried the vegetarian platter, business platter and manager's special. It was diverse enough that we were able to try a good amount of different things that they offer. I do wish though that they sold the Dubai chocolate and pistachio butter at this location also. The taste of the food was pretty good. I wish they had cubed meat kebobs included in the lunch special as well soon.
The only couple negative things during our visit is 1) the vegetarian platter only got 3 falafels. and 2) all the pita breads smelled of mildew. Like maybe it was covered by a towel that hasn’t been washed and the mildew transferred to the bread. Whatever the reason is, all the pita bread we received smelled of mildew. We asked for a new batch, and still when you put your nose to it, it has a...
