While the ice cream was fantastic and the young lady that took our order, Andrea, was efficient, that was all that was enjoyable about our visit, as we were walking in all the tables outside had not been cleaned up, we walked in and the garbage was piled up and observed ALL tables were dirty and had dishes on them, we brought this to Andrea's attention, she smiled and said she would have someone take care of it. A young man named David, came out from the back and asked what table we would like to sit at, with a terrible attitude, I stated that whichever ones are clean because they were all filthy. He cleaned 1 table, only ONE, and went to the back. When we arrived there was 1 couple there and 1 person in the driveway and 4 employees at 1035pm, so they weren't busy. Once we received all our ice cream a family of 5 walked in and then an older couple, I realized they had no where to sit, so I waited until their orders were taken and saw the team leader, Thomas, I expressed to him that the tables were still filthy and that his team member only came to clean 1 table off. He smiled and said he knew and that they had a pretty busy day and couldn't get to it, I told him we brought it to the employees attention and they were all still dirty, and now they had other customers that needed a place to sit, he said they were swamped and brushed it off, when again it was almost closing time. I let him know I would be contacting someone the next day, again he didn't seem to care. The older couple that came in ended up sitting at a table that was dirty. Closing time came & went and still nothing was being cleaned, my children asked Andrea for a to go container and she was moving things and cleaning the back while the other 2 employees came out and grabbed a drink from the place next door and used the restroom. Read moreI use a walker, and in good weather I can walk to this location and get dairy products, hamburgers and eat them in the store or bring them home. I hope that Oberweis pays their help a little better than the competition, because these people deserve more than they're probably getting. The help are extremely helpful when I am going through the drive-thru since I can still drive, and I must use the drive-thru in bad weather to get the necessary dairy products for my nearby home. On the burger side when I am buying a burger or chicken meal, the help are extremely considerate and will often go out of their way to bring things to me when I am in the store and they can see that I have Mobility problems using my Walker. it is the same help who were extremely considerate in the very brief drive-through experience. Once I say that I am a handicapped individual they will listen and especially bag the things that are passed to me from the drive-thru to my car. In bad weather I still drive, and use the drive-thru to get necessary dairy products and sometimes a little ice cream. I am an old guy, and I remember when gas stations put the gas in the tank checked your oil, Wiped your windshield and gave you other services for everyone handicapped or not. Read moreCame in to pick up ice cream for my family, it was our first time. As we walked in the lady at the register immediately greeted us and asked for our order. As I was reading the menu I asked for a chocolate shake, immediately she asked anything else? I ordered 3 shakes and 2 banana royal and was asked anything else after each item ordered. After I said no thats all she immediately gave me my total which I paid, she then turns to the following client for the next order.
I asked what kind of ice cream was in the banana royal, she then turned to the back and asked the other employees to wait. She then pointed at the ice cream options and I was able to order. At the same time I let her know she rushed me through the order. As I was waiting I realized there where also options on what toppings to add, so I asked the person preparing banana royal what toppings she was going to add, and was able to ask for what I wanted. While I was making these changes the person who took my order told another worker “hold on he’s making another change”, so I decided to let her know that she didn’t ask me what kind of ice cream or what toppings I wanted.
