After visiting this place in the first minutes, the impressions were good. The atmosphere of the guests is great. But the staff is not very friendly. Sitting at the bar, no one paid attention to us, we had to go to the cash register and there we had to beg for attention to order drinks, although the bar was closed, there were few beds. When we were paid attention, the bartender or cashier said that they were closing and could not sell anything from the bar, it was possible only to buy drinks from the refrigerator. Approx We bought them, went to the summer playground where about 20 people were sitting, and the bartender or cashier came out and said that we need to leave because drinks are in jars from the refrigerator and people are sitting in glasses. And the good opinion about the instation has deteriorated. I won't go there with my wife for the second time. Chased away like a...
Read moreSketchbook Skokie has a nice outdoor patio on which they are holding food truck supported Sunday afternoons with music.
The food has been delicious with the newly re-opened La Libertad and La Cocina as providers. Small menus, but delectable.

And if course, Sketchbook's many varieties on tap.
Only deficits are the regular interruptions of the Skokie swift signal at the Main St crossing and no darker beers (black lagers, porters, or stouts) among the drink options.
Large enough one can find (socially distanced) places at the tables and Adirondack chairs, small enough to be intimate listening and -- so far -- under reported enough to not be...

This isn’t the staff’s fault, but kids running all over the place, grabbing your stuff off your table, while their parents are either a few feet away or across the room is obnoxious. I visited here twice and left both times because of the same reason. Yesterday, I actually watched someone come up to a kid and tell them they need to get out of equipment and the kid refused and their parents did nothing. Again, it’s great that parents have a place they can feel comfortable bringing their family, and I’ve been to other places like this, but at Sketchbook Skokie it’s repeatedly out of hand with parents...
