Katherine's Cafe — Restaurant in Nitro

Had some mid-morning business to take care of at Rock Branch (Poca). By the time I got done, my stomach started growling at me (rushed out without breakfast, what can I say, it happens giggle 😃). No fast food for me this day, so I explored on Google maps and honed in on Katerine's Café. At first, I was thinking 🤔, what am I getting myself into... you have to be 21 to enter??? Anyway, that wasn't going to stop me and I was hungry. I am soo glad I went in! This place has awesome burgers!!! The kind that are tender and juicy... Ms. Monika, server, and Ms. Michelle, cook, greeted me (they called themselves M&M!). Ordered first a cup of coffee and took a look at the menu. I went with the Mushroom Mortar, easy on the onions and potato salad. Potato chips were an option, but I let that be. Also, Ms. Monika highly recommended the hot dogs. It was a pleasure just watching Ms. Michelle cooking my burger. Well, the reason you have to be 21 to enter: they have a couple of slot machines (WV Lottery)! I also found out that the new owner put up a lot of TV screens. Seems like there may be a new sports bar to hang in! All in all, a great visit. If I don't make it back this time around, it is definitely on my list to try the WV hot dogs next time around! And M&M make a great team! I enjoyed...

Finally tried this place. Clean and friendly environment. We stopped for lunch and got the club(excellent) and the Double Cheeseburger (tasty, and very good). Potato salad was very good! So we liked it so much we came back for dinner. We ordered the Cheeseburger again and a 1/2 rack of ribs. Meat was so soft and plentiful with a side of Cole slaw, this is pretty good slaw.
