McAlister Deli in Nixa, Missouri. It's not exactly the kind of place I’d expect to find myself. After all it’s a sandwich shop in a strip mall in Nixa Missouri, but I'm here to tell you, it's worth a visit.
The Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar Sandwich is a thing of beauty. The roast beef is tender and juicy, the cheddar cheese is sharp and tangy, and the horseradish sauce has just the right amount of kick. It's the kind of sandwich that makes you want to moan with pleasure as you take each bite.
My wife Kimberly's favorite sandwich is the Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato with fresh Avocado slices. It's a simple sandwich, but it's done well. The bacon is crispy, the lettuce and tomato are fresh, and the avocado slices are perfectly ripe. It's the kind of sandwich that you could eat every day and never get tired of.
We both got a delicious glass of their famous sweet tea, which was refreshing and not too sweet. We were also served a pickle spear each, which was both crunchy and tangy and left me wanting more.
The service was fast and friendly. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. They took our order promptly and brought our food to our table in less than 10 minutes.
The atmosphere was cozy and casual. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The tables were spaced apart for social distancing. The decor is simple but inviting.
The price was a tad bit higher than I prefer to spend for a lunch time sandwich at $29 for two people. But there is no denying that the food is quite tasty.
In addition to their great sandwiches, McAlister Deli also has a wide variety of salads and soups. The Caesar Salad is made with romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, croutons, and a creamy Caesar dressing. It's the perfect way to start your meal. The Chicken Noodle Soup is made with chicken, noodles, vegetables, and a flavorful broth. It's the perfect comfort food on a cold day.
We left McAlister’s Deli feeling full and happy. We had both enjoyed a delicious meal in a pleasant environment with great service.
If you’re looking for a place to get a satisfying sandwich in Nixa, Missouri, I highly recommend McAlister’s Deli.
But don’t take my word for it. Go and try it...
Read moreFirst off I work in the food industry and can forgive alot of mistakes. But my experience there tonight left alot to be desired. It started with watching their expo girl let over 16 different individual plates(I counted) sit in the window for over 5 minutes. There's no excuse for that. Then after finding a seat and receiving our food and trying the potato soup, it tasted and smelled as though the cooks used something that went bad in the soup. So we sent it back. After speaking to the same girl that was botching expo the whole time we were there. She went back and brought out the new soup we requested and gave it to us, but not before informing us that "Well it tastes fine to me, it really depends on who's making it weather it comes out runny or not". !?!? What?? And saying all of this in a very snobby tone. Ok when someone sends something back they don't typically like to be told they were wrong, also you're saying your cooks cannot consistently make the same recipe? Well after that we finished our food and before leaving i went to get a refill. And guess who comes walking by..... well she gives me a dirty look and ignores me as I try to get her attention when shes walking into the kichen( Keep in mind she walked right past me clearly seeing me). I then got the pleasant red haired girls attention and she assisted me. Needless to say someone needs to put little miss princess in her place, other than her the experience was fine. Hope...
Read moreI’ve waited a long while to post this review because I believe in giving chances for things to be corrected before rating. I’ll start by saying we love most of the food we buy. A bit pricey, but still good food. However, when we order over the phone or app for delivery there tends to be some item missing EVERY time. About 10% of the time it’s something minor like a missing pickle. The rest of the time it’s something needed for the meal like the chilli and rotel sauce for the nachos (has happened multiple times), or an actual sandwich, or sides. Again I am talking over ten orders in the passed 6 months or so. Again we love the food, we just wish when we pay for delivery the people packing the food would make sure the order is complete before tying it up and giving to the door dash people. We’ve had to drive over to the store to pick up missing items which negates the delivery, but if we don’t then the order is often lacking someone in my family’s food so they would have to go without. Trinity is really good about comping a meal on occasion, but we would rather not have to go through the hassle after opting for the convenience...
