Today we went there for lunch. It was around 1:00 and there were only eight people in the restaurant. So they were not busy at all. Our hostess sat us at a table that had not been bust and had food and drink spill all over it and completely walked away. You had the bus our own table before our experience even started.
Are waitress came over and at first she was really good. She got her drinks and even put in my grandson's food order. She even went out of her way to get him a coloring book and crayons. Well that was the last of our good service with our waitress.
We had to wait over 20 minutes to place our order, We ordered a pizza, wings, and the lunch special sub. But we also ordered an appetizer to munch on until the food came out.
Well our food took over 45 minutes to arrive at our table and our appetizer was with it. So that already is not acceptable, and when the food got to the table it was all cold. My daughter didn't even eat half of her sandwich or onion rings that came with it. Because her sandwich was soggy and fell apart after four bites. And her onion rings were overcooked and tasted like they had been in two week old grease.
The appetizer was cold, The cheese sticks were cold like you had just took the mozzarella cheese out of the refrigerator. And the onion rings on that one were the same as my daughter's overcooked and tasted horrible.
Are wings were cold and the pizza was lukewarm. Once again there was only eight people in the whole restaurant.
When the servers did come out of the back they walked around like they just didn't want to be there. While we were there the phone rang for someone to place an order and it rang over 20 times, a customer got up from the bar to go find somebody and couldn't.
After our waitress dropped off our food and we were done eating. We waited over 15 to 20 minutes after we were done eating for her to come back to give us our check and boxes. She was standing at the bar and I waved at her and she looked right at me and never came to our table.
Another waitress walk past and I asked if she could please give us some boxes because we could not get our waitress to our table. You could tell that was a bad idea. She came back after 15 minutes with boxes and my husband had asked for a pizza box for a pizza to fit in and she got super upset and snotty and said I'm doing this for a courtesy for you. I'm not even your waitress, you're not my table.
So she finally got us a pizza box and came back and said do you want me to get your bill also. So she came back with the bill and then our waitress walked right by our table and never set a word to us and just kept going about her business. But when it was time to pick up the check our waitress sure is crap. Showed up at lightning speed to get her money.
I must say this was the worst experience and the food was so sub par for me having to pay $81.00, for three meals and a kids meal.
We will never go back to this establishment again, This is super unacceptable. Beware. Going forward this isn't the Jerseys in...
Read moreOVERCHARGED AND REFUSED TO FIX IT, BAD SERVICE! Usually a decent experience. Yesterday, however, met my parents for lunch and not so good. Got seated right away. Took the waitress 8 minutes to first arrive.(they were not busy) she seemed in a hurry. Took our order. When my 17 year old son ordered his meal he said he would like the ham and cheese whole sub with Mac and cheese. And then I added he also wants fries. She said okay no problem. Took another 10 minutes or so to get our fountain drinks. Then about 5 minutes later our food came out. Waitress didn’t come back for refills. I had to ask the host to please get our waitress. She swung by the table drops the bill on the table and asked what we wanted and was walking away as we were telling her. (3 refills…she only heard 2 because she was already on her way). While she was getting our refills I checked the bill. Charged the $1.75 for the Mac and cheese and an additional $3.49 for the fries. I asked her why the fries where not included and just full price $3.49(or $3.99) for the Mac. She was snotty and said well I already put the order in with Mac and cheese first so it automatically bills that way. I said we told you at the table when the order was first placed also the fries that come with. She said well nothing I can do. Are you paying with that card. Wow great customer service! Yeah it may only be $1.75 but really? And if I’m paying $2.49 each drink why not come back and get us refills? I mean we drive all the way from Fort Wayne to meet my parents from a nearby town and can’t even get...
Read moreEdit to edit of review: Returned tonight to give this place another try after 40 days of my previous visit. I'm totally sick and tired of paying higher prices for horrable food. Something has definitely changed in the kitchen. Onion rings were again way over cooked and cold and my sub was barely toasted and was cold as well. This time, I told the waitress about the food and explained that I knew that she was not to blame but the sub and onion rings were not good. She told me that she talked to her boss about it but no one did anything to even try to make this right. Sad to say, but I won't be giving this place another try and I frequently dined at this resturant in the past.
Edit to my review a year ago. The last 3 visits have been disappointing and now I'm convinced that things have changed with this place for good. The last 3 times, the onion rings have been fried to death with no flavor and last night they were so hard and over cooked to the point of being obviously burnt but still delivered to my table cold. Your new policy of charging 3.5% for credit card use is unacceptable, and is only going to result in a 3.5% lower tip for the server which is unfortunate, as the server has nothing to do with your greedy policy that charges more for lower quality food.
edit It's been more than 2 weeks since my last visit to this restaurant, which I would have normally have visited weekly, and I've decided that I probably won't be back for some time. I have discovered a new king of Italian subs in town at "It's Just not Pizza,...
