El mezcal mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Noble Township

This was the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time—possibly my entire life. The veggie options were fantastic and they even have a separate section on the menu dedicated to serving vegetarians.

The staff were friendly, quick, and very skilled. Food was out in record time and I enjoyed watching the servers line their arms with plates to tend to the busier tables. These guys knew their stuff!! The salsa was tasty and the chips: oh-so-hearty and crunchy.

The manager came to check on our table and even helped out his busy waitstaff. I am definitely impressed at the comradery and work ethic all the staff had.

The price was so cheap I couldn't believe it. For the quality of food and service we got, I was not expecting some single-digit-priced entrees and a total bill of less than $30 including the tip. I recommend the Vegetarian Chimichanga and the Stuffed Chiles to anyone who comes, even non-vegetarians, and can hardly wait to drive through Defiance again so I can enjoy...

I stopped in on a whim for a late lunch on my way back home from Ohio. I was pleasantly surprised.

The service was exemplary. The staff was attentive and quick to respond.

I ordered the Mocajete MeZcal with steak chicken and shrimp. It was amazing. Filling and tasty.

The sides of rice and beans weren't particularly notable. I assume due to possible dietary restrictions of their average customer they had to be toned down. No detectable lard or bacon fat in the refritos, no hint of garlic, and mild spices in the rice.

The chips and salsa were as good as most I've had. I assume I could have asked for salsa with a little more kick, but I took care of that myself with the bottle of habanero sauce on the table.

Since I was driving I stuck with unsweetened iced tea, but would have liked to try their margarita.

My four friends and I went there to eat. We were not even halfway finished with our meal. When the waiter came up and asked if we needed boxes to go. We told him no. He then continued to ask each individual person if they needed a box. We all said no again. We continued to eat our meal. No one refilled our drinks. Finally our waiter returned to the table and my friend ordered another margarita. We sat and chatted for maybe five minutes. She wasn't even halfway done with her margarita. When the waiter returned and asked us if we wanted anything else. We said no. He then told us that if we didn't need anything else we needed to leave because they needed the table. My friend had to chug the rest of her margarita. Then on the way out we saw that there were many empty tables and nobody was waiting. I found this very rude.
