We were just in for breakfast and we live about 30 minutes away but in the past we’ve made the drive because we’ve had much better service than our local Bob Evans. This morning was terrible. Our server was only at our table a total of 4 times: 1. To get our drink order 2. Bring our drinks and take our food order 3. Bring our food. 4. Bring us our bill. Not once did anyone at the table get a refill, one of us were missing half our meal, never asked if everything tasted fine. I believe her name tag said kyra? They were not busy by any means. She did however end up giving us a discounted meal, but that person still didn’t get half of their meal and we are now stopping through a drive through so they aren’t hungry the rest of the way home. This exact same thing happened the last time we went as well, to the same person! Now about our visit when we went up to pay. My fiancé was looking at the different things they have around the counter possibly going to pick up a bag of candy or something to take with us. Kaitie I believe was the name of the girl running the register and we had to wait for her to get done scrolling on her Apple Watch to acknowledge us. When she did notice us finally she says “I can help you when you’re ready!” My fiancé is holding our son, arms full, I’m holding our daughter, and he was still looking at some things and she yells at us “I’ll need your receipt!” in a very rude manner. We felt that we were interrupting her, and were inconveniencing her by coming to pay our bill. Didn’t give us 5 seconds for either of us to reach and grab our wallets. Needless to say we didn’t get anything extra from around the counter for the road. At this point I doubt we will ever be back which is sad because the last two years we’ve done nothing but talk up this Bob Evans location. Servers need to check for everything people ordered and check up on their tables more often and the costumer service skills here are...

It was about 3p and we had skipped breakfast and lunch and needless to say we were famished! Waiting to be seated we were immediately told that there was a 10 minute wait. We were confused as there were empty tables. Some dirty and some not. We seen a few waitresses and what seemed like the manager behind the counter. They didnt seem busy at all just hanging out behind the counter. After going to the bathroom and waiting a few more minutes in the lobby, a couple walks out and tells us, ,'Good luck getting service in there' and left! Apparently they left before getting served after waiting for 20 minutes just for someone to help them. I got up to find someone and the host girl finally decided to seat us. I asked what was going on and if they were understaffed. She said the new waitress didn't realize it was her table. Then I asked why there was a 10 minute wait when the dining room was nearly empty. She said she didn't want to overwhelm the new waitress. I looked at the new waitress and realized it was the same girl we had two weeks earlier. She was definitely not new anymore. The host girl was a bit rude asking if we still wanted to be seated as if I was inconveniencing her. I said as long as we don't have to wait long. I go to pickup the food at the time.( 12:15 on a Sunday afternoon.) As I'm in the restaurant I get another email that says actually, they didnt receive or make my order...
Talk to the manager/hostess, showed the emails, and they say placing my order AGAIN and waiting AGAIN is my only option and there's nothing else they can do for me. This was pretty disappointing considering I had a pack of hungry kids and I intentionally ordered well ahead to make sure things would be ready. It would have been better if the system just didn't take my order instead of leading me to believe it had been placed successfully. Or if they offered to make the order a rush or something. Needless to say, I ended up going through a drive through.
