i’m a very benefit of the doubt type of person, and i love supporting local restaurants, however my experiences here have been far less than pleasant. i have ordered their kani salad 3x this week, the 1st time, i ordered it regularly, when it came i took one bite and thought it was definitely old. it tasted putrid and very very expired, so i threw it out. i figured that it had been a one-time accident type of thing and just threw it out and moved on. 2 days ago, i went in and placed a order for takeout, i told the girl multiple times that i wanted a kani salad with ponzu sauce instead of spicy mayo. she said that was fine. when i received it, i realized that it had been made with spicy mayo so i went back and asked them to remake it with ponzu sauce. the girl at the front desk was really nice about it and had them remake it. i took the second batch back to my house just to realize that it did not have ponzu sauce on it, it had no sauce at all. i was so disappointed in the bland shredded krab that i just tossed it, (still, did not call them or tell them about the issue). today, i ordered from them via doordash, i decided that i would try to request ponzu sauce again and clearly put it in the special request section. when i received my order from doordash, it was even listed on the receipt that i wanted ponzu sauce and no spicy mayo, but yet again, it had spicy mayo on it. i decided that i would just eat it anyways, but upon taking a bite i gagged and had to spit it out. i don’t know how else to say this except for that the taste was so chemical-ly, it genuinely tasted like i had just put bleach in my mouth. i decided to finally call the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, thinking maybe it had been a bad batch and he didn’t know. on the phone with the manager, it was one of the most rude phone calls i have ever been on, and he was beyond unhelpful. he never apologized and instead interrupted me in between words to say “k.” and “mhm” and then said “k. and what do you want ME to do about it” and not in a nice way. i asked for a refund on just the kani salad to which he said i needed to go through doordash and then proceeded to tell me that when my family comes back, to not order the kani salad because we were the problem not the salad. (my family eats kani salad almost daily and this is the first time we have ever had any we did not like) and when i said that we love kani salad and that i thought there was something wrong with their batch, he said “yep.. mhm.. bye” and proceeded to hang up the phone.
i can excuse errors in the kitchen or food preparation but blatant rudeness to customers especially from the manager is unprofessional and i won’t...
Read moreQuality has been steadily declining. Tonight was the last time I will order from Tank's. The Ocean roll was ok. Naruto roll was smaller than it used to be. Cucumber salad was just iceberg lettuce with shedded cucumber on top? With a side of ginger dressing. Not what it used to be. The conch though...eww. Brown and chewy. I have never been served brown chewy conch before. I couldn't eat it. I wonder if we were IN the restaurant would we have been served that? This was strike 3 for delivery. Wonder if the delivery quality is less than the in store quality. Had a good experience in the restaurant last year. Nice staff. Odd smell. Sorry to see the quality of tonight's delivery so poor. My review from 4 years ago is below. I used to love it. Now we will never eat here again.
Ordered takeout from here and was so happy with our meal. I enjoyed every bite. Can't wait to go back! Friendly staff and really good sushi. What a wonderful surprise to find such high quality so close to home. Thank you thank...
Read morei know this is my 3rd review of this place, but we just can't get enough of it. the lunch specials are super affordable, quick, and worth the value. i wanted to post some pictures of some new dishes we've tried. The tempura chicken and veggies we ordered were humoungous on a serving scale - and the panko breading was just right and flaky. i ordered sashimi a la carte for the first time, and to me, this is the best way to get your favorites. my only suggestion is to note on the menu somehow, how many pieces you get per unique sashimi item. sometimes it's 2 pieces, sometimes it's just 1 - it would be nice to know which one is which so that you can order double/triple where appropriate.
Always a favorite local spot, but beware, parking, even for golf carts is pretty limited during rush times like dinner (almost everyday, but mostly Thurs,...
