I’m leaving this bad review based on my phone order and drive thru experience. I waited on hold for about five minutes. Then called back only to have the woman on the side of the line not be able to hear me, until to she got to a spot where the restaurant phone had strong signal. I place my order finally. And I’m given 15 minutes to pick my order. I arrive to the drive thru, only to be ignored. They have the restaurant full, and I’m waiting for someone to acknowledge that I’m there. 10mins pass only to be told that they are going to finish filling out the restaurant orders before I can pay for my order. I wait another 5 mins and decide to leave. I call to let them know I left only to have say to come back they are ready. My order had been sitting there for 15 mins. I paid for sweaty burritos and hot dogs. I liked this place very much. Tonight’s situation has changed my opinion. I’m glad they had a full restaurant. I hope the folks that made the restaurant full tonight keep it full. Because I won’t be going back. I placed my order at 7:34, I didn’t end get back home till 8:40pm. They couldn’t even have the courtesy of putting in salsa or anything for the hot dogs. Worse...
Read moreChuyito’s has restored my faith in humanity. On our first visit, we ordered two basic Sonoran hot dogs….which for less than $4 each were mind blowing…amongst the very best gourmet hot dogs I have ever tasted. The fixins/salsa bar had a vast assortment of salsas, cucumber, spiced carrots, chopped onion…all fresh and delicious…you could practically make a side salad out of the stuff. Chuy the owner came over to our table and welcomed us and told us about the history of Nogales and what it is like living there. I asked him if there was anything on the menu even BETTER than the amazing hot dogs… and he suggested the Chile Rellenos… and another staff member suggested the Torta Ahogada. We returned the following day to try both… and I am so glad we did. ABSOLUTELY EPIC! Chuy says they are his wife’s recipe’s. The horchata and agua de pepino were also awesome. Next time I am in Nogales I will absolutely be back...
