Mr.C’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Nogales

My husband and I wanted to try a restaurant we had never been to yet for a date night so we decided to finally try this establishment. We were one of 3 tables on a Saturday night, which should have been our first clue as to how the evening would go. Service was very slow despite the lack of customers and the floor in the dining room was sticky (my shoes were making awkward noises every time I walked) but the bathrooms were clean. My chicken marsala was ok, but nothing to say wow about. My husband asked for his steak medium rare and received it extremely well done. I'm assuming it's because it was just about the thinnest steak we had ever seen. It was also over seasoned (tasted extremely salty and that's coming from a guy who puts salt and pepper on everything). We could have had steak at a local Mexican themed restaurant for half the price and it would have been a better meal. I think this restaurant has outlived its prime...

We went there for our Anniversary but unfortunately Pepe wasn't there. We always order the Porterhouse's & Pepe has always cooked them to perfection! Our server was very sweet but unfortunately she forgot my twice baked potato, rice, butter bread & the Steaks were not cooked like we've always had them. We were charged for thing's that were returned & it was a disappointment. We highly recommend Mr. C's it is the best Steak house we've ever been to with exception of this one time. I know the owner will rectify this issue in a timely manner because he truly cares about his customers. Next time we go we will make sure he is there because he cooks the Steaks PERFECT! Went to Nogales on business and had dinner the last night at Mr. C's. The place was very nice and clean, has plenty of room, and had touch of upscale class. The service was prompt and attentive.

I had the porterhouse, which comes with the small but adequate salad bar, a baked potato, and added sauteed mushrooms.

I really don't know how to describe this steak, other than say it was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and was phenomenal. Top 3 steaks of all time. The mushrooms where different than traditional American sauteed, but were in a huge bowl with an almost Au-Jus butter sauce, they were exquisite!

The owner came out and greeted us, was extremely friendly, and gracious.
