Special ordered a large donut (instead of a cake) for my son's 3rd birthday, per his request. He asked for a large donut with yellow icing and sprinkles. This is what we got. I was so disappointed, and being that we picked up the donut on the morning of his party, there was no time to get a replacement donut elsewhere.
The donut icing was supposed to be yellow - not orangish brown. The donut shape was mishapen, and barely had a hole cut out of the middle. The entire top of the donut was completely sunken in, and a huge part of the inside middle was still completely liquid raw dough. I had to throw the donut in the trash. Inedible and poorly made and the business did not follow my instructions/request. When placing my order, I had even drawn out and written out what I wanted and included my contact info if any questions arose. My son was so disappointed with his birthday donut we had to throw in the trash after he blew out his candles. Also was super embarrassing for me to have to present in front of the large crowd of people at the party. 😔
Response to owner: it definitely was Blue Ribbon donuts. We dealt with an older woman for the order and the pick up date for this donut was the morning of Saturday,...
Read moreA let down. Definitely not a cozy coffee/pastries shop.
Coming from a long road trip into Norco for an hour to visit family. Need coffee. With Norco's limited selection of cafés, I was really hoping Blue Ribbon would be a nice spot to get out of the car and stretch my legs, answer some emails, and have a nice special cup of coffee. It's the only place in 5 miles that's open on Monday. I don't have a ton of time to play "Guess what doesn't suck in Norco." It's extremely hot inside the store - I guess they don't use their air conditioning when it's 104° outside. The clerk was not at ease. I tried to smile and say hello and be gracious in case she had a bad day. Overall the service made me feel unwelcome the establishment was too hot and there was no Internet, and the coffee was a little above average. I could've stopped at a truck stop and gotten...
Read moreAs a DoorDash driver, I want to provide better service to my customers. I am very grateful to the male store owner. So I give two stars. This is for him.He is very friendly. Every time I go to pick up a customer's order, he will give the driver an extra donut (even I don't eat donuts though ). LOL. But every time the older lady is around, it's terrible, she's so rude and won't even say "hello" to you. I guess age is no reason for you to be rude. She will ask you to do something in a commanding tone. One time I wanted a bag, but she said directly: "No, you don't need a bag!" "What????" I asked her: "Can I have a bag??" That means: "I need a bag!!!!” So I don’t need you to tell me if I need a bag, all you have to do is give me a bag! It's just that I want to be more...
