Food is ok. Not bad, not great, just ok. Ordered street tacos. 2 Carne asada and 2 chicken. Flavor was good. Corn tortillas were thin and dry and brittle and broke immediately. Ony used 1 tortilla per taco. Could easily use 2 tortillas for 10 cents more and help with the brittle tortilla issue. Chorizo and eggs was good and beans and rice were good as well. Service was mediocre at best. We arrived at 11:50am on a Friday. There were about 6 tables full when we got there. We were the only ones without food. Took over 30 minutes to get our 2 plates. 2 waitresses and 2 cooks working. Could easily handle 6 to 7 tables per 1 waitress let alone 2. Never got a refill on our water at all. Finished eating and nobody ever came to give us our check or to see if we needed anything else. Had to walk up and "bother" someone to let us pay for our food so we could leave. Horrible service destroys the best food experience and great service improves mediocre food. Hopefully the owners see this and make improvements. We will most likely...
Read more1st time here. The staff were nice and the food was ok. It took a lot longer than expected to receive our food. We had a cheese quesadilla which was small, the Enchilada dinner, vegy fajitas, and a Chile relleno chimi with carnitas. The vegy fajitas was a lot of food but it only comes with 2 small tortillas and you really need 4. My husband wanted a side of rice and beans but it was put inside the relleno - a misunderstanding between he and the waitress. He liked the food but didn't think the amount of rice and beans were worth the cost. I wasn't thrilled with the Enchilada sauce and the cheese. The beans and rice were both very good. Total cost of the 3 meals were $49 which is more than what we pay at Tamazula. The restaurant was very clean and the tables are spaced apart from each other so you can have a conversation without the need to talk loudly. Good atmosphere and well lit. We'll probably give them...
Read moreMy experience at Dona Luisa Mexican Grill in Norco left me with mixed feelings. My wife and I tried different dishes - I had the chicken enchiladas while she opted for the Berria. Unfortunately, I'd rate the food as 4/10; it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The chicken enchiladas left me unimpressed as the chicken felt undercooked, and the Berria was somewhat bland and served in a soupy form, which wasn't appealing to us.
On a brighter note, the restaurant's ambiance was a highlight; they played all the classic jams and had a newly designed bar that was super nice. Ample parking was also a plus. The service, however, was a standout. The servers were friendly, offering us some excellent recommendations. While I might not order the same dishes again, the overall experience at Dona Luisa was saved by the great service and inviting atmosphere.
I wouldn't come here...
