Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Norfolk

I have always had good experiences at Chipotle's but I wanted to write a special review on this one because I've only been into this location one time because it's not near my home it's more near my work and my daughter's work and one day last week my car had broke down and it was later at night and cold outside and I had to call my daughter to come get me and she was coming from all the way almost to the oceanfront to Norfolk where I was at so it took her a while to get there because she had to get off work and then when she got there she got a little bit turned around and lost and I went on and ordered something to eat and just kind of waited for her to get there and it was getting close to closing and she wasn't here there yet and again it was cold outside not to mention it was dark by this time and the location right there was fine a little bit down from it was not the best and needless to say as a female even being 52 I didn't want to be walking up down sidewalk or standing outside in the freezing cold.. I had so much on my mind that night and it had been such a long hard day ending in my car breaking down and I just was completely wiped out and I don't know I think they noticed but they had asked me or came up to the table and the young man said was I waiting for a ride and I said yes and I then proceeded to tell them and I said are you all closing because I just didn't even realize it was closing time and the other young employee which is a female said yes ma'am we are but you don't have to go outside yet you can wait in here longer we have to still clean and everything you're welcome to sit in here and I just want to add that in today's world not even in the places where it's policy to have the customers leave a closing but even in other places where they're allowed to people are just not as nice anymore and then sometimes they're not as trusting and I understand why but the bottom line is both of those employees were young kids I'd say college age maybe a little older or younger and they were just so respectful and so attentive and they went well beyond what their job obligation was and making me feel comfortable and I can't tell you what that meant to me because I was a mess and I don't think I will ever forget Chipotle for that bit of light that they brought to my very dark day. There was no judgment there was no questions there was no impatience. They were just good-hearted very mannered very respectful young people and just did my heart good and even though the night was still a mess, she really believe part of the reason I was able to even emotionally stand through all that had happened that day because of the Kindness and gentleness of two young beautiful Chipotle employees. The world needs more of that their light was infectious and so very needed much more than they probably will ever know. May God continue to bless them and may they always continue to be that beautiful light in a stranger's darkness. Great job Chipotle!! Class...

The manager Nadirah refused to remake my tacos for allergies, they prepared my taco incorrectly for pick up. I requested NO cheese online , and the order pick up had cheese. I always check as dairy makes me ill. I waited in line and requested a free remake from an employee due to allergies, he said he would ask the manager. Then Nadirah said it was my fault in front of other customers and she would not remake the tacos for free and it would be a new order - again, I did not request cheese. After I asked politely again for her to please remake it and showed my receipt, she walked into the back yelling about me. The other employee turned away to do the next order. It was either wait in the line all over again and pay again ( when I had done pick up) or leave. I understand it can be hard to work in a restaurant, but the food was not my fault. Do not order pick up from the restaurant, whether from the app or some third party site. EVERY TIME. And I do mean every single time I order pick up from this place, things are missing from my bowls, they don’t acknowledge the “extra lettuce” or any extra stuff you ask, and this most recent steak bowl I ordered I got 7 pieces of steak.
