THE EDGE — Restaurant in Norfolk

Last night my friend, his girlfriend, and I wanted to check this place out as people said it was a cool spot and across from the college. We get there and park and go to the door and get our ID’s checked.. we all order beers and my friend ordered a shot. About ten mins later the bar back/busser comes out and tells us we have to leave cause my friend was wearing a du rag. He said “my boss saw you and told me to talk to you and tell you that you can’t wear a du rag in the establishment” My friend is African American and needed to wear it for a few different reasons. Went here multiple times, and usually the line is 1hr+ long. Not a big deal, however it gets pretty annoying when the bouncers don't care if people cut the line, let multiple random groups of girls and their friends in. I waited in the line for like 1hr 30, and I was first in line for like 30 minutes, however when people walked out, the bouncer would just let random girls and people in the VIP line in, and not alternate between lines. Once you get in however, have fun waiting another 15-30 minutes to get an overpriced drink, and enjoy using their nasty ass bathroom that's mostly filled with frat boys powdering their nose. The bouncer is a racist. My friends and I came to the club thinking it was 18+ (because my female white friend was allowed in previously). When showing her ID, my white friend (who is the youngest) was allowed in again. Then my other female friend (who is black) showed her ID and was told that she couldn't go in because the age limit is 21+. We are all 19 and 20 currently, so the fact that he let our white friend in and not the rest of us was very wrong.
