Worse Cold Stone , I've ever been to. Had a buy one get one for free coupon. My wife received said coupon via text on March 2. We went into the location on March 9th to redeem the coupon. Once our order was made the employee that made our order went to ring us up. When my wife entered her phone number on the rewards kiosk , it prompted " are you sure you would like to redeem. We selected yes and immediately the computer tried to print something but it failed. The young lady attempted to help us and the manager walked over and told her she got it. She tried to explain what happened and without listening the manager said " It does not print out anything. The manger then proceeded to tell us " You cannot use a reward if you just signed up today". My wife went on to explain she received this coupon on March the 2nd and when we clicked redeem the printer failed. She said well it says we have a point balance of 30 and we wouldn't have a reward. My wife again explained that she received this coupon March 2nd and that we just clicked yes to redeem. She got a attitude with me and my wife and said "Its nothing she can do" ( Sidenote we went to the VA Beach Towne Center location and the manager Skylar helped us and was able to bring up a coupon on her screen and informed us the Norfolk location is known for bad customer service.) Not only was the manager on duty very rude. She also embarrassed us in front of other customers and ignored us to help someone else while we stood there. She claimed her boss was on a vacation and she was the only person we could speak to. I will never return to this location even as a resident of Norfolk ill go elsewhere before I spend a dollar at this location. Treat your customers better, other stores should not know you have a bad rep. If I could leave a negative star I would. And the establishment smelled like fabulosa instead of a ice...
Read moreA Sweet Treat in the Heart of Ghent, With a Few Sprinkles for Improvement This Cold Stone Creamery on 21st Street is a consistently delightful spot for a custom-built ice cream indulgence. Nestled in the vibrant Ghent neighborhood, it’s a popular destination that largely lives up to the brand's reputation for delicious, high-quality frozen treats, even if there are a few minor areas that could be polished. The star of the show, as expected, is the ice cream itself. The endless combinations of flavors and mix-ins, all expertly blended on the signature frozen granite stone, are a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. Whether you're a fan of their classic Signature Creations like the "Birthday Cake Remix" or prefer to craft your own unique masterpiece, the ingredients are fresh and the final product is rich and flavorful. On most visits, the staff is energetic and friendly, efficiently working their way through the line, even during the evening rush. The shop itself is generally clean and bright, providing a welcoming atmosphere for a family outing or a sweet date night. While the in-store experience is generally positive, there are a few reasons this location earns a solid four stars instead of a perfect five. The pricing, while reflective of a premium product, can feel a bit steep, especially for larger orders. Additionally, while the in-store service is typically efficient, some online reviews suggest that delivery orders can occasionally be inconsistent, with reports of melted ice cream or missing items. All in all, the Cold Stone Creamery in Ghent is a fantastic choice for a decadent dessert. The creative and delicious ice cream, coupled with a generally pleasant atmosphere, makes it a neighborhood gem. While there's slight room for improvement in pricing and delivery consistency, it remains a go-to spot for a satisfyingly...
Read moreI want to highlight the amazing service I received today (September 19th at 8:24pm), thanks to Mike. From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in, Mike greeted us warmly. There was a customer before us with a larger order. That order caused the store to get a little backed up and led to a long line, but Mike still took the time to acknowledge us and let us know he’d be right with us.
Once he finished with the customers ahead of us, he thanked us sincerely for our patience and then took our order with a positive attitude and professionalism. During checkout, he went above and beyond by explaining the rewards system in detail (how many points you earn per dollar, etc.), which was super helpful.
It’s important to note that Mike was the only employee up front handling all the customers, yet he managed to keep things moving while maintaining excellent customer service and a great attitude.
I’ll be honest, I almost didn’t come back to this location after a not-so-great first experience a few days ago. I’m glad I gave it another chance, because Mike completely turned it around with his...
