The Dragonfly Art Studio — Attraction in Norfolk

The Dragonfly Art Studio is truly an incredible place! I had been curious about pottery for a while, so I called the number on their website to ask about classes. I got a fast response, and the person on the other end was kind, patient, and super helpful. Before I knew it, I had signed my husband and me up for a 6-week class as my birthday present—and even booked a single-day class to start earlier since my birthday was still a couple of months away.

The single-day class was amazing! We jumped right into throwing pottery, and the instructor’s great personality and patience helped everyone create a bowl or cup we were proud to pick up once it was fired and painted. The 6-week class was even better than we could have imagined. Cat, our instructor, was quirky, fun, and a fantastic teacher. My mother-in-law joined us, and she was over the moon each week with her creations!

The classes were taught step by step, and we had plenty of time to get the hang of each stage. With Cat’s guidance, we made a variety of pieces—cups, bowls, plates, and vases—using almost the entire bag of clay provided. I can’t say enough good things about this studio. The Dragonfly Art Studio pottery wheel class was fantastic. Cathy was a wonderful instructor and provided the perfect balance of guidance and autonomy. The one-session workshop was a great place to get practice, learn some techniques, and experiment. We booked a date night it was supposed to start at 7:00pm . Waited 30 Mins.walked away at 6:58 thinking they were running late got a drink from 7/11. Walked back at 7:05 or 7:08.
