Avoid Ukwensi's Art at All Costs If you're considering visiting Ukwensi's gallery or attending one of his exhibitions, do yourself a favordon't. This so-called "artist" has built a reputation, not for his skill or creative vision, but for his unbearable arrogance and condescending attitude. The experience of viewing his work is overshadowed by his overinflated ego, and quite frankly, the art itself is not even worth a second glance.
From the moment you step into his space, you’re met with an atmosphere that is anything but welcoming. Instead of fostering an environment where art lovers can engage and appreciate creativity, Ukwensi seems more interested in belittling those around him—especially younger visitors. He speaks to people as if they are beneath him, assuming they know nothing about art, even when they might have more knowledge and talent than he does. The worst part? He has no idea who he's talking down to, often disrespecting individuals who could outshine him in skill and artistic understanding.
As for the artwork itself, it is uninspired, lackluster, and completely devoid of any emotional or intellectual depth. There's nothing compelling or original about his pieces—just a tired repetition of mediocre concepts that have been done better by far more talented artists. It’s the kind of art you might glance at once and immediately forget, except that you’ll remember the experience for all the wrong reasons.
To make matters worse, people actually travel from out of town to evaluate different people’s work, only to leave disappointed and frustrated, feeling as if they've wasted their time which you can never get back . It’s almost tragic to think that visitors could have spent their day exploring real talent elsewhere but instead ended up subjected to Ukwensi’s dismissive, patronizing behavior and subpar artistry.
If you value your time, respect, and artistic sensibility, steer clear of this so-called artist. There are countless incredible galleries and exhibitions worth visiting—this is not one of them. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your time appreciating real artists who respect their audience and produce work that...
Read moreToday I was inspired. I was awakened from within by this amazing work of art that spoke to my soul. It was as if the artist (Ukwensi), was aware of my struggles; was familiar with my past hurts, had insight into my fears. From this dark, yet familiar place he was urging me to move past the familiar and delve into my destiny. It was beautiful, it was majestic but more than that, it was power — my power. It was faith, courage and beauty urging me to step forth into an endless sea of possibilities. A one of a kind masterpiece this work had already been sold.
Today was my first encounter with the gallerie Ukwensi, and it was a...

Ukwensi the artist/curator is very versatile with his approach to the art world which I appreciated so much as a collector. I highly recommend stopping by. His awards prove that as well. This gallery “Oooooozis” with passion.
Put it this way ceremonies are different in every country, but true politeness is everywhere the same & Ukwensi is definitely in tune with people.
