Costa Del Mar 1 — Restaurant in Norfolk

We found this place on Google and decided to come here because of the food review. The parking outside is very limited. It’s a seat yourself location. This is like a locals Bar. The service here for an outsider who is not here every day is terrible. We had just gotten menus for about two minutes and we were being rushed to order. most of the stuff that we wanted, they did not have available . things like sprite , jarritos, food items . The music was playing off of like a karaoke machine, which was Cranked up to the maximum amount of volume it was extremely hard to hear or even give out our order to the waitress. This place is not big and the worst part about it was the fact that they were playing off of Pandora so not only was the music playing so where the commercials. The waitresses Are not very pleasant you can tell that they cater more to men . Our waitress just look like annoyed bothered that she had to take her table. She’s not very friendly or nice not once did she smile at us and ask if we needed anything more. The only time she came back to ask anything was to argue that something wasn’t ordered there was nine of us, and there was only eight dishes.

Finally, when our checks came, we handed her two cards. She charged both receipts on one card and try to make it seem like she didn’t but when we pointed out that the receipts had the same name, she said it wasn’t her that she didn’t charge the cars as somebody else is in charge of charging the cards. She left with her card again and came back with the voided receipt for that last transaction and charge the cards properly She covered over watching to see if we would add an extra tip. There was a service charge on the receipt that she could not explain she said no that’s not an extra charge . I’ve worked in the restaurant business for eight years . I know what a service charges. I would’ve not minded given her an extra tip If she had great service. The food not to bad . I would rather drive to Va beach to Cancun fiesta where their service and food is...

Will not eat there wanted to try me and my wife called because it says on line you can call & order directly from this restaurant no answer after calling for about 10 minutes some one answered and couldnt speak one word of english so how can anyone who cant speak the language order so i decided to drive to the restaurant the waitresses could hardly speak english they could tell me the restaurant was closed how could that be when it is all hespanic in the restaurant dancing playing pool drinking eating and having a good time all i wanted was to order my food for carry out take my food home & eat asked for a menu we are closed they are open until 2am it says on the web site so they will lose my business friends family and if i had a restaurant & treated people this way i would...
